Dual Color Side Markers?

Hey guys Just wondering if there's something along the lines of this:

Looking for a side marker (clear preferably but smoked is okay) that functions as a DRL but also as a turn signal as well. Something along the lines of the product in the picture, but I want to find one that doesn't require two different lights. I want to find one that works as a white light then goes amber for the turn signal.


Basically, looking for the Diode Dynamics mirror cover lighting concept, but in the side markers

Is that even a possibility?

With custom wiring anything is possible. For instance, take your factory housing. Re socket for a led switchback. Run new wires for the blinker section. And you have what your looking for.

Your main problem will be... Corner lights don't blink from the factory.

There must be a way to easily switch, here in the UK (and I assume Europe and Japan) those lights are only used for indicators and not DRL of any kind. Must be a loom change somewhere, if so there will be your way to tap in.


I think the issue would be to dim the white light while blinking amber.

there was a thread in the DIY once upon a time on how to wire a smaller switchback into those on the FRS by using the front turn signal wires. basically what your asking for it exactly what this is but in 1 form factor instead of 2.

But with the twins, we don't really keep stuff from the factory
