If you want to get the STI, get the carmax value first, then take the car to the dealership and see how much they'll give you. If it's lower than carmax, tell them that someone (carmax) is offering you x amount and see if they'll beat/match it. It's better to trade the car in because it takes away from the total cost of the STI, lowering your tax and monthly payments for the lease. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

hey guys,
I posted on here as deadBolt earlier but I wanted a different username. Anyways, it has been a fun week. I changed my antenna to a small 2" one, changed the side markers to some smoked Helixs, installed some OEM mudflaps, and today I finished installing my Invidia N1 catback! It is soo freakin loud. Tomorrow morning I am installing my Perrin CAI w/ inlet tube. I am waiting for my Toms tails to come in...hopefully Monday! This forum is wonderful and has helped me with all of these projects. Loving my car! ![]()

![]() [vent] Well I dropped my car off at my local dealer (McGeorge) for service Monday evening to fix the dreaded cam gasket. Got a call Wednesday afternoon saying it was done. Pretty fast for pulling the engine... I intended to pick it up this evening, but figured I'd ask to speak to the service manager just to see how things went. They fixed my window trim supposedly, no mention of the passenger window auto switch, couldn't replicate my rear deck creak *sigh* and then he mentioned they found "no oil leak" Apparently the techs didn't read the service notes and just thought they were supposed to look for a leak and not fix the issue which they had confirmed earlier and ordered parts for. The service manager was apparently out on vacation and only got back shortly before I called. Soooooo now he has to look into why the repair wasn't done. No call back as promised. No car until at least Monday. Yay. [/vent] Been driving my Uncle's BMW station wagon. She's not exactly sprightly but OMG have I forgotten how sonorous their straight sixes are. I found myself winding that thing out more than my damn FR-S. That doesn't bode well. Sometimes I have dreams of the E46 M3...

Still, I have always loved the E46 3 series, and the M3 in particular. It is hard to put into words why I love it so much, performance wise it has a lot going for it, to be sure. As far as the exterior design I'd probably paint it as my favorite car of all time. It's elegant and muscular at the same time, and it looks like a car. I liked my old FG2 civic, but to me it looked nothing like a CAR. The FR-S and BRZ are pretty handsome, but aren't terribly well proportioned and are a bit goofy, but not goofy enough to be edgy like, maybe the Veloster. The E46 M3 has classic automobile good looks. I'll own one one of these days...
