Better head unit is really all the car needs. If we're really being picky, better stock tune, thicker paint, miles till empty readout, heated seats that you can actually feel through a winter coat, larger exhaust tips or smaller cutouts for them.

That being said, the car is absolutely perfect. Thank you, Subaru/Toyota, for giving we enthusiasts what we have been asking for since 1999.

Heavier steering (fixed mine with CasCam plates)
More sound deadening (thinking of spray foaming the rear wheel wells and dyna-matting interior)
More interior plastic quality and fit and finish
+30WHP without forced induction (down the road for me)
Better wheel and tire setup stock (already ran 5 different wheel and tire setups)
Different non-clear Altezza style tail lights (cant justify $500 on new ones)

I wish the manual front seats can remember their last positions after pushing them forward to access the rear seats like Euro cars.

Also I wish they have convex driver side mirror that shows the blind spot beyond a dotted line like Euro cars for the RoW market.

These are the dumbest things with Japanese cars in general. I gave up these and other creature comforts (like how the wipers automatically slow down one speed setting after coming to a stop, wipers would rest on alternate sides of the rubber after turning off the car to prolong blade life, multiple seat heater settings, infinitely adjustable seatbacks, fuel pump that would prime the moment you open the driver's door, windows that can be rolled with the remote, etc) cuz I can't deal with rubbish electrical issues and bad mechanical designs associated with Euro cars.

More torque or at least a flatter torque curve.

Links below for what I've done.

I wanted a quicker car relatively inexpensively without having to make significant other mods like replacing the clutch. Done with the Phantom ESC and Open Flash Tablet for $2500.

I wanted more bass response. Done with a 10" powered sub in the trunk for $275 installed (and it wedges perfectly under the back deck).

I wanted less rattles and lower noise inside. Partially done with sound dampening insulation in the doors, trunk and under the rear seats. Still intend to do the front floorboards (total cost about $75). Also need to figure out how to resolve the occasional rattle coming from the back deck (I know there's info out there about it - just haven't gotten to it yet).

Otherwise, the only things I think I'll do is put on an Open Flash Header and Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3's at some point. Love the car.

See my post if you want it relatively cheaply. Especially see the dynos on this page:

175-180 tq at 4000 rpm is a lot of fun.

Wow what abounch of babies, more sound deadening? really? I wish this car was more stripped out than it comes. I guess you should look at some grandtouring heavy boat if thats your thing.

I can't speak for the OP, but in my case I have two MB to compare the headlights to: my (now sold) 2005 C230k SC's halogens and my C350's bixenons. There is no comparison. The Coupe's were extremely good for halogens IMHO, consistent with with their being rated highly in (if memory serves) AutoCar and in a French car magazine I read at the time. The 2008 C350's are so good that I love driving at night: it's good with normal beams but truly like daylight if I can turn the high beams on: they are _that_ good. The BRZ's xenons pale (no pun intended) in comparison. Love my car but not its headlights.

Total pipedream but I'd like the hydraulic steering unit from the 2015 STI. Coming from someone with steering rack bushings, the STI has just glorious feel and weight and it's really fantastic even when compared to the already excellent BRZ/FRS.
