I am little tempted to wrap my headers. My reason for doing so is my concern of how close the up and down part of the header (just behind the radiator) is to the rubber belt. Yeah, I have read of the disadvantages, oil soaked wrap catching on fire (doesn't apply), corrosion due to water soak ( headers are coated, I don't park with the hood up, any moisture would soon boil off with running engine).
So besides those reasons any hard facts as to why I shouldn't wrap?
Ta.

I'd probably just wrap the area closest to that pulley, and leave the piping above the v-band unwrapped....because wrapped headers look fugly and you can't show off your nice coated pipes if they're all wrapped. But that's just me...

So reality the losses going Catted JDL EL would also be minimal vs catless EL? Asking as well
I've hear now a few other ELs like Buddy Club etc and the rasp alone would drive me nuts I think. :-/

My bum dyno says there has been an improvement at top end. I am running catted headers. As I won't be trying uncatted there is no comparison to be made. Win!

Ta.

We have a local car with about 1500 miles on our EL no issues. The only thing I would suggest is to move the fan connector down a little like photos below

I assume you mean airflow mods and not suspension mods . Perrin intake hose, (no performance gain,I'm just making my list complete) JDL catted headers, JDL over and catted front pipe, custom single exit cat-back. Parramatta Vehicle Services tune happening in about a month's time. They use brzEdit.

Any chance you'll post some dyno's after your tune?

Ummmmm....yeah, there's a chance though I hadn't thought of doing so before. If I do just remember there is no base line to compare to. That is, charts would only show before and after tune. I do not have any charts to show prior to having exhaust parts fitted.
