License Plates in Post Pics
I have seen pictures posted where the owners block out their license plates. I have seen others post pictures of spotted cars and not block out the plates. Why are some owners concerned about hiding their license plates?

Because someone can identify them, their car, non-street/dot approved mods, ID them if speeding/street racing on youtube, invalidate their warranty... ect.
The chances are low though.

I believe it's due to paranoia about personal information. Even though a license plate number isn't exactly private, the idea of splaying it across the interweb makes some people nervous.
