Plugged the sound tube today. Sounds so much better in the high RPMs

It always sounded simulated, and made a weird noise when I let off the gas to shift.

How exactly does it affect the sound of the motor?

down low sounds almost the same to me.

Around 3-6k RPM it was kind of "derrrrrrrrrrrr!" (rolling r) and now it's like.. "rooooooooooom!" That's the best way I can describe it

And when I used to shift.. as soon as I would push in the clutch it would make some weird OHM noise unless I backed off the throttle before pushing the clutch in.. like "rrrrrrrrrrrrOHM!" But now that's pretty much gone.

Definitely quieter, I want real exhaust now.

Why is everyone trying to reduce the nice engine noise

I would love an axleback I never heard the weird sound coming from the right side, so I didn't think the soundtube would do much, but it did.

Reducing that sound tube was probably the best thing I've done, it's more of an engine sound instead of some generic sound. From what i remembered without the sound tube plugged it made it sound like you're going really fast when you're not.

It's weird, since when I did aftermarket exhaust on my last car, it added almost no horsepower, but it made it feel like I was faster with the sound. I loved it.

But somehow the sound tube just felt unnatural I guess. Like on the highway, you expect wind noise to drown it out, but it was just as loud. Then when you get in a tunnel and rev it up, it's silent. Like

The thing with the exhaust is it gives a rumble/vibrations that actually changes the feel. That sound tube does nothing but gives that sound.

Installed Tsudo UEL header. It sounds amazing with no rasp at all. I do hear the flow of air at some rpms that others have reported. I might get a wrap for the header, I heard it helps.

Exhaust system consists of Tsudo UEL header and Top Speed Pro-1 axle-back, everything else is stock.

I tried taking videos but the sound was way off, it came out better using the sound recorder on my phone.
