Outside of the US that is true. However, since you are in SoCal and many of us here are in the US, the BRZ here will *not* have auto leveling headlights. It does have a manual control but no control is required in the US.

Cusco has those provisions because of the ROW cars.

You'd want German market (or other LHD Euro markets) headlights in the US instead of the JDM ones. Since the US cars with HIDs are setup for manual level control you'd need the rest of the auto leveling stuff to get the auto leveling to work.

Hi, I found the SCION BeSpoke app on the apple app store. Note how it is not available at the droid store.

Download and enjoy

That would make sense as we aren't getting it here for the FR-S.

Interesting, the bespoke app is basically just a navigation app and an Internet radio app all in one. $850-$1250 for an app...I dunno.

Edit: and it keeps asking me to tweet...what the hell scion!

It's been said all along that the BeSpoke was basically a larger/remote display for apps running on your phone. That's why I've had almost zero interest in it.

Having played with the standard unit I can say it reminds me a lot of my first girlfriend. She may not have been the prettiest but she did anything I wanted.
It is an awesome integration and idea, but my only concern is it relies on the cellular phone data service, which in many cases would still have signal issues in some areas, and since the datalink is 4G at best today, the response time in loading maps and other data could be slow, especially compared to the dedicated on-board navigation systems that have internal HDD mapping.

Plus, if you have one of the recent smart-phones like the iPhone 4GS or other Androids, this can be done in the telephone, provided you don't use it in the districts where phone use is illegal...

Auto level in on the Japanese headlights, yes, for the Toyota 86's HID option units. However, the right hand drive cars beam the light in the wrong direction and wide to the right where it will shine into oncoming traffic. Therefore it is best to graft the USA Subaru lamps which mount just the same under the bumper housing, or to get the GT86 HID lamps from Left-Drive European releases.

The HID ballasts, lamp assembly, and probably additionally necessary control modules and related parts will cost an arm and a leg though...definitely.

Sent from Xfinity Mobile App----- Original Message -----From: Korey_Tsuno@Toyota.comSent:Wed May 2 12:43:39 UTC 2012Subject: Bespoke Premium Audio Order Request
Attention Team 1st 86,

As you are aware your FR-S will be arriving and ready for you to drive shortly. We are sure that you are very excited to take delivery of your new FR-S and want to keep the excitement going by offer you the option of equipping your FR-S with the all new BeSpoke Premium Audio unit.

The BeSpoke Premium Audio unit will be an additional $845.00 including installation. By return, please let me know if you interested in the BeSpoke System (as a note the BeSpoke App will not be available for download until mid to late May, we will keep you posted).

Here are a few of the key features of BeSpoke Premium Audio:

Always "stay connected" with your friends while on the go (in-car)

For example - you locate your friend on the BeSpoke map at "Old Town Coffee Cafe" in Torrance.
"Direct Messages" allows you to send short messages in an open free format via Twitter.
"Send message to Mike", Mike, I see you are at an old town coffee cafe! I will swing by in a half hour.

You can use a "Routing" feature to set a destination and then it will take you to the cafe.
Mike’s reply back can be read back while in route. "Cool. See you then!"

Listen to Internet Radio stations plus Scion's original internet radio "Streaming Audio"

"Tuner2" is an internet radio aggregation service provider, which currently offers hundreds ofinternet radio stations. In the system, user can search not only by station names but genre as well. BeSpoke will also feature "Scion's Streaming Audio" featuring 17 channels covering genres from Metal to Reggae.

Most of operations is done by Voice Recognition - makes it easy to use while driving

You talk to your car and it not only answers, it intelligently integrates the best of the Web into its response. "Find the nearest Mexican restaurant" takes on a whole new meaning when it uses Yelp data to find the best choice, locates it on a Navteq map.

No service or subscription fee

The BeSpoke app available on iTunes (free)and no associated system fees or use charges (iPhone with data plan required)

Easy service adaption:

If an application provider falls out of favor, BeSpoke we can easily adapt or change! Imagine having an application today like “MySpace”, well you get the picture. With BeSpoke we have the ability to drop and swap as trends dictate.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thank you,
korey
