had an older man approach me as i stepped out of my car and say that I have a really nice car and to keep it for as long as I can. He then told me that he has been following the car since it was released and that it reminded him of his porsche 944.

Just had a guy do a double take on my car after seeing the STi bbk on it. Proceeded to give him a walk around of the car. Chill guy looking to get a BRZ. Glad to be an inspiration

had a gentleman today at my local dunkin donuts stop and look around the car for a few minutes while i went inside, sat down and he was all over the damn car, walked about side

no lie his quote

"whats the pricetag on one of these thing"

now, if he was a younger guy i would have finished that quote from Fast and the furious, but because he was older and probably never saw that movie, i answered like a normal person

cool guy, had a nice conversation with him, let him sit in the car

love getting the small random attention like this from time to time

Walking out of a fastener shop, guy asks me what kind of car it is. I say "Scion FR-S" and he replies with "that's a really nice car".

I used to work with this really shallow 24 year old girl. I offered her a ride home once, and when we walked up to the car, she stopped short, blushed heavily (I'm serious...) and said "that's a really pretty car".

Pulling up to the mall to go to the gym, I stop at a stop sign where there's lots of people mingling waiting for buses and the like. Some guy is talking to some girl, sees my car, rips his cigarette out of his mouth and says "whoa, that is a really nice car", pointing at my car.

A bit over the top, but such is life when you drive such a hot car

Was trying to make a left turn at an intersection when some dude in a Subaru outback stops right beside me blocking traffic and goes "THAT'S A SUBARU? HOLY SH*T WOW, IS IT AWESOME??"
Guy behind him honks him and tries to go around but the guy in the outback cuts him off. Made my day.

Other day, I was at a park and one of the parks and recreation crew stops right beside my car to check it out while i'm walking back. I thought he was going to tow it since I was the only one in the employee parking area. He goes "Neat car buddy, couldnt believe my eyes when I saw the subaru logo. It's so low to the ground, did you cut the springs on that?" my car is stock.

2-3 weeks after I got my car when all I had on it was an exhaust, I was taking it out just after dark and I pulled up to a red light. I looked over to my right and there was a clean good looking white GTI with an older guy behind the wheel, he looked to be about 60-70.

He was just staring at me, so I rolled down the passenger window and he said "Beauty-full car!" and gave me a thumbs up.

Woot!

I had my first "sweet ride bro" encounter in my new 2014 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel tow vehicle. I was sitting in traffic on the highway when I heard a honk and I looked over and a guy in an older Dodge Ram had his window down, so I turned my music off and rolled the window down. He said that is a great looking truck and asked me how I liked the new EcoDiesel. I told him I just got it last weekend, but I love it so far. This was the first time I have ever had one of these moments in a truck.

Had a cop follow me into Tim Hortons (ya cop in the donut shop cliché) and when I came out of the drive through he waved me over. He was all over the car asked it sit in it and everything. Left him a salesman's card when he finally said he better get back to work!

Went by my mechanic to drop off my old T4R, which was having a stolen spare wheel/assembly replace, because my parents bought it and are driving it back to AZ. After dropping off the keys the service manager asked me if that was my roommate's FR-S, told him it was mine and he asked if he could check it out since he hasn't seen one up close yet. Let him sit in it and answered all the typical questions. Always a fun experience to see people excited about your car.

I've had my car for 4 months now and I notice people breaking their necks all the time... Ive gotten a few thumbs up, and few "NICE CAR"'s... but the other day was the first time I was driving down the street with my windows down, and a fellow motorist in an older LandCruiser had his windows down and said:

"What kind of car is that"
ME: Scion FR-S!
"Man.. that thing looks hella fun, I bet it goes like mad!"
ME: Yes, around corners...

Me and about 5 other FR-S/BRZ were caravanning to a car meet and we had to take the interstate freeway. So many cars got in the passing lane and just coasted to check out or cars. Felt kind of bad because that caused the passing lane to slow down, but technically we didn't do anything wrong. People were just curious about our cars!

Driving home the other day, guy pulls out of the local Toyota dealer in a Mazda3. A couple lights later he rolls his windows down and asks, "How's the ride?" I tell him it's fantastic. We shoot the shit for a little bit while waiting for the light to change. Turns out he's a salesman at the Toyota dealer and has been thinking of replacing the Mazda3 (has around 130k miles or so) with an FR-S. I say that I highly recommend it. Hopefully I will see another Toyobaru tooling around the streets in my area soon!

Cool Thank you Ma'am!

I've had my 2015 BRZ Series.Blue for less than 3 weeks now, and I'm truly enjoying all of the head-snapping I'm experiencing...hope it never ends!

After YEARS of driving a responsible sedan for shuttling kids around, my wife (bless her heart) wholeheartedly endorsed my dream that it was time I got my 'dream car' - an affordable sports coupe - especially before I got too old to get in and out of it!

The 'sweet ride bro' encounter I want to share came a week after driving off the lot...and from a police officer, no less! I had dropped off my car 4 days after buying it so the dealer could apply the Luxcare treatment to the paint, leather, etc. that they so graciously tossed in for free when we were 'haggling'. When I picked it up after work, I took back roads to my home 20 minutes away. I was in the right lane of a 4-lane road that had a rather silly 35MPH speed limit...in the left lane about 100 yards ahead of me, a beater pickup was behind a slow-moving semi, and I decided I didn't want him to pull in front of me at the last second, so I goosed the gas. I'm also still re-learning the nuances of driving a manual for the first time in over 30 years, so I had one eye on the tach (instead of the speedometer) and was thinking about when to shift. As soon as I cleared them, what should I see but a police cruiser headed in towards me on the other side of the road. I glanced at my speed - ~50 - and then watched my mirror. Sure enough, they did a U-turn, and after tailing me for a few hundred yards, flipped the lights on. I pulled into a parking lot, rolled down my window, turned off my engine and watched my side mirror for their approach. It turned out to be a lady officer...the first thing she said when reaching me was "Sweet car!". I thanked her, told her it was less than a week old, I was still trying to get used to shifting, blah blah blah. After informing me she got me on her gun doing 52, I apologized profusely. We then continued talking about my car for another 10 minutes before she finally ran my tags, and (seeing I had a clean slate) issued me a simple warning and told me to have a good day and take it easy on that beauty! Honestly, the warning was just as effective as a speeding ticket would've been...I'm definitely ultra-aware of my speed at all times now (for now...).

You should set your shift indicator :P but glad your happy.
