Turbo cars are not a problems because they used the engines oil system to lubricate the turbo. The problem with S/Cs are they have a closed oiling system and take longer for the oil to warm up. My car would be sitting in my heated garage overnight, however it would be sitting in -25 for 12 hour days while I am at work and I have no control over parking for that.

Pretty far for you guys but:

In case anyone missed it on the main CANADA section and is willing to make the trip out, we're holding a meet at our offices in September and giving away the new Mishimoto Oil Cooler (thermostatic plate), Perrin Inlet, Perrin Shift knob, a bunch of other stuff and DSG swag.

We have a big private parking lot here with a really nice restaurant that's going to cater everything (and booze, it's Montreal -- as long as you're not driving). Maybe make a trip up here and make it a little impromptu vacay

Check out the official thread HERE

I don't know Chris very well... he lives in the other building at our complex... But I did see him last night he was putting on a carbon fiber license plate frame... I'm envious of all you people with your fancy afterwarket wheels...

Yeah he got a new frame. Too bad he had to cut notches in a new carbon fibre frame just so the registration stickers aren't hidden

And haha I'm still running stock tires and wheels (not for too long though) so I know your pain.

I'm not sure why he cut the notches either... I've be running american style frames for years on multiple cars... they only half cover the stickers... and the police only care about the color of the sticker... which is still visable...

Where are you getting your rims from? everything I've seen seems so expensive to order in canada... I've been thinking of driving to the states to buy wheels and leaving my stock rims there...

I actually bought them from a member on here. He's from Ontario.
These are the ones I bought (just haven't mounted them yet):

I drove through Calgary last week with the FR-S and I have to say, I feel bad for you guys given your altitude. The car felt like a pig that was way down on power. I was surprised at the difference. At home here I'm at 1900ft elevation, not ridiculously less than you at 3500ft. I can only imagine what sea level would be like...

This calculator shows ~ 5.5% difference in power output at the same atmospheric conditions. http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_hp_dp.htm
