I like it, yah. It depends what color your car is though imho. this CF hood almost blends with the DGM so it doesn't stick out too much. I'll still probably paint it down the road.

I think painted would look nice as well. But the extra $$ from not painting is ok ^_^.

Dropped off the template for my custom armrest to the upholsterer. Received my molded mudflaps in the mail. Picked up my smoked taillights, next step paint shop to receive some colored tinting. Ordered the window tint with a local shop, scheduling to follow.

So installed the V1 diffuser from Driveway Labs a couple weeks ago. While happy with the diffuser itself I wasn't thrilled with the mounting. I tried a new method that involves using Subaru bumper clips.

Problem is that, while secure enough the trailing clips on the outboard side didn't actually do anything to secure the diffuser, while it didn't fall off it just wasn't "tight" So today while I did my 15K service (rotate/balance, oil change, cabin and engine air filters) I fixed that.

Previous mounting:

you can see the aft clip doesn't go into the drilled plastic...

I also wasn't thrilled that the middle clips near back up lights, while secure, allowed movement and pull down until they reach the flared part of the clip. The end affect is that as originally mounted, the diffuser, while secure, isn't tight and it can wiggle up and down. That didn't sit well with me so I set out to fix that.

Went out to Home Depot and bought these:

Two rubber washers on the bolt and a washer for each middle clip and now it looks like this:

Very tight and VERY secure And I'm much happier, there is now absolutely NO up and down motion in the diffuser.

Oh and here's some installed pics

As a side note: Subaru really didn't intend for you put your hands up in the bumper pockets, getting those bolts tight on the nuts was a bitch.

And that's what I did to my BRZ today.

Washed it off and cleaned it up. Got a text from a local member while I was rinsing it off. Finished cleaning, went and met up with two other 86 owners and got it dirty again

We had a fun little drive up Gibraltar Rd-- not the best driving road in the world, but it has fantastic views and is still quite fun wherever there's a not-blind corner. I only took one phone-cam shot but maybe some of the others will post pics / video as well. It was a nice evening for a drive!

Also checked my oil (pretty much down to the low marker) and added 250ml. We'll see where that puts me tomorrow when I've heated it up again.
