I raised the car 6cm's so I can park at festivals without plowing the fields. Normally my lowest point is between 8 en 9 cm's, now it's around stock height. If you are used to seeing and driving the car so low and then raising it, it feels like you're driving a truck. I also soften the shocks a little so the uneven terrain doesn't kill my back. It drives like crap now, but at least now my frontbumper will survive.

Yippie !!
Installed a front tower brace from summit racing on my toy. Looks cool and racy, front feels nicely 'ridgid' (you can only feel it when pushing really hard honestly speaking). Was considering pillowball suspension mountings, but I fear it's going to be to ridgid for normal roads. Hence at this moment I'm keeping the stock rubber mounts in. Anyone here did a chassis tuning like that? |

Haven't done any chassis tuning but i was wondering, is it useful if my 86 is just a daily driver?
Or is a front & rear upper strut brace doable for a DD I'm just curious cause i might look into those then! (it's not that of an expensive mod if you get handling enhancement out of it) Grtz

I'd start with camber bolts and a good alignment (<200€, labor inc.) before pouring money in fancy parts. It transforms the car more than you'd think.
Just my ¢2, though. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22201
