Ive had mine installed for about a month. At first it was way too loud but after you break it in it's not bad. I put in silencers and it sounds like stock. I hated it. Drive around for a week or two. You also learn there are sweet spots in the rev range where the exhaust is actually quiet.

It's super loud brand new but break it in and it sounds great.

So are these silencers strictly for the evo 3? or are they universal? or is there universal.

Im in the same boat but have a different exhaust system. I have manzo V.2 catback. Its only 2.75" piping but def sounds more like a 3" than a 2.5"

I plan on leaving the silencers in. Its still noticeable from the outside. I already got a thumbs up from a random person while driving. Is there a decrease in cabin noise once they get broken in if so how much?

I can listen to music on volume 16. I'd say the lowest volume setting before the exhaust drowns out the music is 12. This is under acceleration/deceleration when the exhaust is the loudest. Cruising drone noise is present but not irritating. Music sounds best volume 18 city, or 24 on highway.

Thats actually a pretty big difference IMO. I usually have my radio around 18 so that's pretty good. I don't mind a little bit of drone just not when its blowing my ear drums out. Right now cruising drone it not to bad. Its much more bearable now with the silencers. I can hear my Injen CAI again.

One last question. About how many miles did it take for it to break in? Someone else stated about 1500.

Thanks a lot I really appreciate it.

I didn't pay attention to how long it took but you will probably know when your exhaust becomes noticeably quieter.

So, I ended up getting JDL UEL headers and a nameless resonated&catted downpipe. First I bought the headers and then got sick of the drone so I decided to get the nameless pipe. After installing the nameless pipe, the drone has definitely gotten less, but its still there on acceleration/downshifting. I absolutely love the sound. It's deep, rumble is amazing, BUT ITS SO LOUD! I set off car alarms in parking lots while I'm driving on the road. I am about to go deaf. but I will not put in those silencers, I did it twice and it sounded like farty civic. Im thinking, its time I sell the exhaust

i honestly have no clue. they mount in three spots, so as long as they have the same mounting spots and they fit the tips, i'm assuming so?

I went to the extreme and stripped out my car this past weekend and starting to install a sound mat. Almost finished and there is a slightly noticeable change already. Going to double up the layers in a few areas and it should be good once the seats are back in.

Yea mine neither. I called greddy and they said that all it needs is the provided gasket with exhaust. I was just wondering if it would make a difference. Thank you

Very happy with the Evo3 by the way. I keep the silencers in. But I did replace the silencer bolts. They were cheap and some were stripped out. I also put a good coating of anti seize on them so I can remove them easily if I ever want.

Be sure to spray some lube on the hanger holes. Will make taking out the old exhaust much easier. And putting the new one on too.
