Seems a little low. $26K for the car, freight/pdi is about $1500, 13% HST $3300, maybe $700 in other small fees (ac tax, registration, licence, etc) = about $31.5K estimated.

About $30K otd isnt bad.

Hi XXXXXXX,

As per our previous phone conversation about the SCION FRS, I have verified with my manager that all of the incoming units we will have are already pre-ordered.

We can already pre-order one for you in Manual transmission and White in color, so that when our delivery comes that vehicle will be reserved for you.

Also about the delivery for the vehicle, you have 2 options. One is that it would be the best to pick up the vehicle here at our dealership in Edmonton, but because you do reside far from here we can also freight the car to the nearest Toyota dealership for you which would be an extra cost on your end.

Amount for the vehicle would be:
$28000 + GST and additional charge for the freight if you would choose to have it sent to Whitehorse.
(Price list for accesories is not out yet)

Please give me a call so that we can get all the necessary information we would need so that we can go ahead with pre-ordering one for you.

Thats the email reply I got from them. I called later to confirm that the $28000.00 includes everything (except if i wanted them to ship me the car that'll be extra).
This car will be bought in Alberta which taxes are only 5%

Fuck.... so jealous of 5% tax. Honestly, 13% is a kick in the balls.

Oh wow I didn't know they would ship the car all the way from Alberta. Man that 5% is actually a lot.

Tax makes a huge difference. That and all the other fees most dealers try to charge. PDI, admin fees, Global i, a/c tax, tire tax. It all adds up. The FRS/BRZ will be very popular cars and it will probably be hard to bargain with a dealer simply because if they dont deal with you, there will be plenty of people in line.

if the 28k mark is correct, then its just 500$ more than a fr-s?

No, it's FR-S pricing according to the dealer mail.

Still waiting on BRZ pricing AFAIK...

This will be a totally uninformative and useless post but I assume I'm not the only Canadian that is getting extremely agitated and restless about the delay in the BRZ price announcement from Subaru Canada.

The longer they delay announcing the price, the higher the probability the markup is going to be huge - which will no doubt aggravate you even more than the wait!

The delay is definitely confusing. I keep seeing posts pop up that other countries are starting to get their pricing now. Subaru knows people need the price before paperwork gets signed and the keys are handed over right??
