If you like it that is all that really matters. I still think the advantages of getting the cooler air from the front of the bumper will outweigh the downsides of having to upsize the piping to enter the turbo. I just remember reading tests on turbo Honda B series motors where the location of the filter and where the air was pulled from made a noticeable difference in power. It would be interesting to see the difference without changing the tune.
