which jack did you end up getting? the one you quoted here? recommend it? how much you pay?
Paid full price at harbor freight. Coupon didn't work on it. =/

Yes, I do recommend it. It can get under my 5AD lip in front far enough to lift it and also reach the rear diff to get it on 4 jackstands. It's heavy, that's the only downside. Well worth it though.

well, today sucked. Yesterday I was adjusting the rear diffuser and noticed it got a bit close to the exhaust tips, almost touching it. I knew it would melt if it touched it, so I ended up removing the tips on it. Kind of hard to explain, but the j2 dual tips have the opening, and then the tips bolt on.

I left the tips off and went for a drive today, probably the first time in 2 weeks.. come back and nasty plastic smell. Well, since the tips were so recessed inside the bumper it literally melted my stock rear diffuser + new cwest rear diffuser.

Sigh. so I just took a box cutter out and cut off the diffuser part, exposing the rear crash beam, etc. looks pretty raw.

Guess it's time to think out a cool idea for a custom diffusor and exhaust

tl;dr : never let the exit of your exhaust sit recessed to your bumper / diffuser. Idk why I wasn't smart enough to think of this yesterday.

I did the same to my lip kit on my Corolla. That "fml I'm an idiot" feeling will fade with (lots of) time.

Ya, saw your thread in the other section. At first I thought you were going for the Corvette center exhaust - was gonna recommend just going tri-tip like an LFA

I think that's a Lotus diffuser, ya? Are you gonna buy one and try to fit it, or go straight up fiberglass one-off custom?

I'm really not sure yet. From what I'm reading, the diffuser really wont have any functional value. I do like the look, though.

I'm thinking of trying to fab up something cool looking with expanded metal. who knows what will happen.

So, anyone in Austin have an OEM Audio I can listen to? I had mine installed but it sounds very weak. Not what I was expecting at all. I've been working with OEM Audio to see if there's an issue with the unit or amp that I have, but in the meantime I'd like to see if I can at least hear someone else's so that I can compare. Thanks!
