Hit and run

Well...I come out of work to find a nice memory of someone's white car...now will a repaint be as good as facotry? Can they match the Silver Ignition?

If it is just a paint rub they may be able to buff it out and then add a coat of clear.

Where is the damage? Is there a dent? How big is the paint mark? Did it scrape through your paint or is it paint on top of your paint?

Yeah, that's going to need a repaint. My bodyshop matched my spoiler to my car pretty good so I guess it's not super hard to match.

I had a scratch on my rear fender
The body shop matched the fender to near perfection, I don't think the silver is difficult for them to match. I don't have an after photo right now but no one would ever be able to tell.

i just wrote it as if insurance would have written it. if i wrote it for a walk in customer it would be a little less. we usually try to help out for customers paying out of pocket. if insurance is paying, they usually send out someone to inspect it and do the final estimate anyway so every single thing is written up and included. realistically i could lift tape the quarter glass and not have to r&i it, ive done it on a few frs/brz with no issues. same with the rear glass. thats at $40/hr body, $40/hr paint, $24/per paint hour material. those are pretty standard Maryland rates, many other states are higher
