New subforum for motor swaps.

Can we get a subforum created, specifically for motor swaps?

At the moment, these types of topics will pop up all over the show, often in the forced induction thread.

Engine tech forum should be for fa20 only.
Forced induction forum should be for boosted fa20 only.
Motor swap forum for any motor that isnt the fa20.

the subforum may get a trickle of traffic to start with. But this will only increase overtime as is often the case with motor swaps on any other platform. Once a couple have down it, others learn and follow. At the moment we need a place where this information can start to be collected.

Considering the car is only 2 years old, and I don't see many motor swaps being done, I am not sure there would be enough traffic. I mean how many threads do you want to see with kids asking how to swap a 2JZ into the BRZ? This isn't a 240SX or a Miata or another older cheaper RWD chassis forum currently.

It won't be there till most BRZs and FR-Ss you find for sale used have multiple different colored body panels.

I think there's two things happening in higher numbers than people realise

1. The amount of FI fa20's blowing up
2. The amount of people at various stages of motor swaps; whether it be considering the move or having completed it.

We need a subforum dedicated to all these fa20's blowing up, seriously.

Not enough details on those.

I have a thread where I have documented the forced induction engines that have blown that are owned by FT86Club members. I have heard stories of others as well. I don't know that we need a whole subforum though:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56331

The list currently includes 10 motors. I believe I need to add @Cross to the list, but he hasn't confirmed what happened to his.

I was being a bit exaggerated on the whole sub forum to blown engines. That's a great thread i didn't see before, thank you.

I am in the process of an LS Swap after blowing up Boosted. *Shrugs*

I know I am not the first there are a few LS Swaps and a few 2J Swaps I would welcome the sub forum at some point but at this point it's mainly just getting started.
