I'm confused here. I don't see a point to this? So if I set this and then unlock my car via the trunk-key-slot my alarm is going to go off "panic button" style?

Or is this enabling a "passive alarm" that goes off if someone reaches through the window and unlocks the door?

I had the dealership turn up the alarm activation beep (They finally figured out how after two months) and apparently they reset my computer so I had to turn the alarm back on! Got it first time this time tho! Again thanks for the info

Can anyone confirm if this works on the European GT86 that is equipped with Keyless Entry / Start-Stop Button?

Spent an hour trying to get it to work and nothing

I finally got mine to work. Holding the door opener handle and holding the unlock button worked for mine.

I got this to work on my FR-S Monogram in the US. It didn't work when I locked the door before holding the lock button. I was able to get instructions from my owners manual page 76. Your manual I'm sure is different. I searched immobilizer in the index in back and it read through that section. That might be a good place for you to start and see if your car has the factory alarm. Hope it helps!

I was able to set the alarm and it says "Alarm on" on the dash and the horn beep once. When i lock the car i see a car and lock red logo blinking. but the icon looks different than from the manual book. The icon showed on the manual is a red car with a lock and some red lines all alround it.

Just want to be sure the alarm is on in my car as it leave the car in a drive way.

Do what I did. I locked the door with the windows down, left the remote at least 15 feet away and opened the door. The alarm should go off.
