Currently at 25.8 on my drive to work earlier this morning; majority of this comes from driving on the hwy but for those of you that are familiar with our freeways in So Cal, plenty of stop & go traffic going on!

I get around 27.6 average per gallon on a full tank; 5 days a week, stop and go traffic 70 miles round trip (majority highway) from Los Angeles to Orange County. This is including mods - 18" wheels, intake, no cat, headers, front and overpipe with axle back exhaust.

I have a 'commute' of about 4 miles with a mess of lights, like 7 of them. Mileage is averaged at literally 22.0

Average mileage is 28.6, shifting around 3.5k, driving faster speeds I try to keep my mpg closest to 40, and I coast in neutral alot, like when I see the red lights and if I know I'm stopping, this car will coast forever! Lol

Driving in the suburbs, A/C on, light acceleration, the dash says 22-24 so 23 average. And, we already know the dash isn't accurate, it's slightly generous.

I have all my manual calculations written down but not completed, just waiting on me to use the calc. I'm guessing 21 actual average. My RSX-S under the identical conditions gets 24ish by manual calculation, 26-27 w/o A/C. I've only owned the FR-S during A/C season so far.

I've started coasting in neutral and saw my mpg drop... some people on the forums claim it's actually less effecient since the fuel injectors begin spraying to keep the engine spinning. Others claim this only occurs @ < 1500 rpm.

I wish someone could tell us conclusively if coasting in neutral is more or less efficient.

Also, first post but long time lurker (since ~2012, bought my 86 in early 2013)

For those familiar with California's 91, 15, and 405 freeways... those are my regular commutes.

Currently hovering between 29-31mpg based on Fuelio app.

25-40 minute commute, depending on traffic, probably 75% time on city streets. Pretty consistently 23-24 MPG, goes up quickly if I put in any highway miles.

Fuelly is a great little MPG tracking site, but I notice most other BRZs on there get a lot better gas mileage. Probably because efficient drivers are more likely to use Fuelly?

I wish I was getting a little better fuel economy, but it easily beats the 14-16 I was getting on my SC400. :-)

in a stop and go, i get like 27 miles per gallon
it went up to 31.5 after i went to canada ( from virginia) from 30mpg

also i was wondering, does the MPG take the A/C as the factor? cause I had A/C running the whole time during the trip
