Anyone check their VON with SOA recently?

When was everyone issued their VON#?? I placed my order a little under a week ago but was never given one by my dealer. Also has everyone that has placed an order received an e-mail confirmation or call from SOA? If so how long after you placed your order??

Dealer gave me a printed out confirmation with my VON the day I put down my deposit.

My dealer's been calling me as well. They told me when I ordered to expect a call every Friday updating any new info they had. I was warned they probably wouldn't have anything most weeks, but at $30k, buyers expected at least some level of customer support. So far they've actually done it as promised.

I'm a first time Subaru buyer, but they also told me Subaru preferred they not give out the VON because that drives buyers to keep calling SOA and bothering them. I'm not sure how credible that is, but +1 for Lee's Summit Subaru in KC so far.

I also got a printed out order form with the VON on it.

I did not get a VON the day of deposit, they said at the time that it would take a few days to generate (I ordered on a weekend). But I emailed my sales guy a week later and he had one for me then. At the time of deposit, they just printed out my order sheet. I haven't used the VON to call SoA yet; the car will get here when it gets here, nothing I can do about it...

Yep. A guy at my dealer TXTs me whenever there are updates to my VON anyways. He checks daily since he has the #2 slot (I'm in the #1 slot) so I don't even have to bother checking :P

I did not receive a VON and this is the email I got from one of the dealerships I placed my order with.

"He says that news to him. We don't get order numbers. The people we send the orders to, who in turn orders the cars from Subaru, is Subaru Distributors Corp. Maybe they have a hotline. Even with a number it doesn't necessarily mean when you're getting the car. We're getting 60 BRZ's per month spread out between approxinately 55 dealerships in the region. How many of those are premium packages, how many of those are limited? How many of those are World Rally Blue? Even if you get a 'place' number from Subaru Distributors Corp, someone else that ordered after you may have their order filled first if they were open to other color choices.

I spoke to SOA and they looked my name in the system and it wouldn't show up but they said the northeast is different on how the distribute the vehicles. I'm wondering if anyone else from the northeast received a VON?

I did not, and I haven't noticed anyone in MA who has, but I haven't worried about it too much. So far it seems like SONE uses a different system that doesn't include VONs.

I've heard the same thing about buying from Subaru of New England. VONs are only associated with SOA and SNE has their own system. I also spoke with my dealer and he mentioned to me that they have no clue which model trim or color combinations they will be receiving. So, even though I was second on their allocation list someone lower on the list might receive theirs first based on which model/color they receive.

I know Northern NJ and most of NY is under SDC, so I do not have a VON either. I can merely take my dealer's word and hope that since I preordered relatively early that my car will arrive in the earlier time frames.

I'm in the same boat. All I have is a confirmation number from my dealer that I indeed placed a pre-order. I wish I had something more solid but not much that can be done about that!

Just have to wait and see

I ordered mine from Fred Beans Subie in PA and I've got a VON. Their internet manager is awesome and he texts/emails me updates. So far my status (like all others I believe) is wait list.

Forgot to mention I also got in touch with SOA and they have my name in their system even though I never received a confirmation email like some others. This whole car has been handled like crap IMO.

Yeah, same here, never got a VON, the dealer may have it, but they never gave it to me. They have been able to keep an eye on my order though, I'm in Pittsburgh.
