Took it to breakfast and lost half the clearcoat on my driver's-side rear fender. Literally a bird shat on it during breakfast, I saw it when we got back to the car, drove straight home and took the poo off the car and in the ~hour it took for all this to happen the clear coat was completely eaten through. Fuck the environment and all these recycled unicorn piss-based paints and coatings: the paint on these cars is like a bad joke. I'm surprised a stiff rain doesn't wash the paint off...

Really like it so far, I know it might be more optimized down the road for iPhone users. But I'm currently using AppRadio Unchained to mirror my S5 I really like the advanced audio settings found on the 4000nex which allows me to really dial in and fine tune the sound to my own personal preference

I do keep it waxed. I think I last did it like 4 weeks ago. It doesn't make any difference-- bird poo, bee poo, literally anything that sits on the car for more than half an hour etches the clear coat to some degree. It's really frustrating.
I was tempted to try sealants, but I read a thing on the InterWeb saying that sealants that bond to the paint surfaces do help prevent scratching and abrasion, but don't really provide resistance chemical damage / etching. The article said that wax provides better resistance to acid etching than sealants, but that ultimately nothing will protect clear coat from acids, and that the only thing you can really do is try to is keep a layer of wax on the car and try remove shit from your car as quickly as possible. |

Also.. i got my side markers from FT86 speed factory. When i opened the package it had a piece of laffy taffy inside with my side markers? I was confused but quite happy at the same time. That was some delicious taffy.
