Never dyno'd it after the tune, but I ran Catless UEL headers and 2.5" cat-back (which im selling if anyone's interested) and my but dyno definitely feels a difference.
What FI kit are you going to use if you don't mind me asking?

Ill agree was talking gain from tune rather than overall wheel HP .

Intakes - Stock intake is good - add drop in filter for 2 or 3 HP at expense of filtration possibly.
CAI- aftermarket intakes - little or no gain over stock intake with drop in filte and modded snorkel. Aftermarket CAI type can upset MAF (mass air flow sensor scaling ) causing hesitation/bogging/flat spots- unless you re-tune MAF for intake, unless you going boosted leave intake alone spend money elsewhere.[/I]
Not sure if it upsets MAF, had it installed since day one. Don't know what oem intake feels like. Throttle does feel a little weird initially and maybe it bogs a little. I can't really go back to oem intake because I don't have the manifold and all.

OFT can't remap the MAP in case of aftermarket intake.

How can I log this date and check if it's having issues and how can I correct it if necessary?

Thanks,

OFT like other tuning devices is capable of altering the maf scale and flashing the modified tune

you will need Romraider to alter map, i did a thread on maf scaling use the vgi utility it automates the process very well.

Hi,

Unfortunatly their is no definition for "stage 1" "stage 2" ect tunes. Its just marketing by tuning companies.

However they often refer to the levels of modification that the tune is suitable for, but it can vary company to company

Roughly but not always true

Stage 1 = tune for stock motor or just catback exhaust/muffler
Stage 2 = tune for slightly modified motor possibly bolt on mods like exhaust/headers intake filter ect.

Ecutek RaceROM is a suite of additional features such as on the fly map/tune switching , launch control , flat foot shifting .

Well, yeah. A car is a complex machine (now more than ever)...tons of different variables...load, temperature, ignition, timing...It's not going to be a case of "enter the amount of power you want"...it's a balance between reliability, driveability, and power/torque...takes a lot of experience to get it right. Not telling you to not do it - there's plenty on the internet if you want to learn. But don't expect to just open up RomRaider as a noob and be able to make positive changes that won't end up damaging your engine. I've had minor experience with tuning, and I won't do anything on this ECU other than adjusting the FFS and LC set points.

No not rearly you could take your car to a tuner or you could buy an Open flash tablet and just flash their tunes that come with the tablet. You dont have to modify their tunes .
Some people do to if they have mods not catered for generally intakes but its not necessary in 99% of cases to alter the tune.
For 500 dollars it good value an easy to use if you can use a phone you can use an oft. If for some reason you dont want it they sell pretty well as they are a complete package ie a flashing/logging device with tune for free.
