Carbon fiber or just plastic?
I was thinking of getting a front lip and rear defuser but I was thinking of the price vs functionality. What are your opinions? Also if you have one what's your thoughts

Plastic for front lip under the assumption you'll hit something and the carbon fiber will crack (and cheaper to start with). But that's me. As far as diffuser, I'd go for a metal one that is actually functional.

CF, or CF overlay?
The former will cost you thousands. The latter cracks upon first impact. -alex |

get plastic and wrap in carbon fiber vinyl. Not hard to do, cheaper, and will give the look you want.

I would suggest, unless you NEED the weight saving from real CF, that you get plastic, and apply a vinyl CF wrap

You'll crack any splitter if you hit something hard enough with it. Go with what you can afford and like. CF is a notch above plastic in the coolness factor but you gotta pay extra for it. Up to you on how much coolness and money means to you.
If you end up going with plastic, CF vinyl is lame. Don't make it look like CF if it isn't CF. |

I had a Seibon front lip before and it cracked after I hit a curb. I vowed to never let that happen so I bought the JPUSA Super Polyurethane one that is flexible and won't crack on me. Down side is the weight a and had to spend money to get it painted.

Go with what you want, taking into consideration where you live/how you drive.
If you can be careful, CF sure does look good...but if you do hit a curb/driveway/etc wrong you can end up cracking it. |
