So this whole time I thought the Subaru BRZ Nav cost $500-$700 from the dealership. They just got back to me with paperwork to give to Progressive with the part number and total cost of the Head Unit. $2,106.00. Holy crap that's a rip off! Thankfully I'm not paying for it...but that's just insane considering you can get one on the forums for $300ish.

So I installed the Whiteline polyurethane positive shift kit in my garage using jack stands... I almost should have sprung for the $20 / hour at DIY, but I got it done and I am pretty sure every muscle in my upper body is sore right now after hulking out while my body was contorted lol.
I will say, for $30, this is a very worthwhile upgrade. About 90% of the perceived drivetrain movement during acceleration and deceleration is gone now and the slight (very slight) increase in NVH is actually an improvement as I have better perception of what the drivetrain is doing (this aspect is obviously subjective). Time for some victory beers! Coming up soon for me will be smoke tinting the rear lights and DRLs, applying the Lamin-X smoke covers to the fog lights, baking my headlights to black out the chrome (and WRB to the boomerang), and paint and install hella super tone horns. That will put a huge dent in my cosmetic plans for the car.

That would have been ideal, but it just wasn't in the cards.

@FR-S Matt, when you did your brake fluid, how much brake fluid did it take to do all four corners?

Heck, I'd take one too. Some days I like a quieter exhaust, but I can never make up my mind. |
