I'm a LeBron James fan but always a Heat fan before he came to Miami and still a Heat fan after he left. I'm glad the fake fans are gone.

I would clown on Lebron if he went to the finals once, lost, and went back to Cleveland. But he lost in the finals once, came back and won two straight. So I don't understand the hate of "he lost so bad, he went home." I think he's been wanting to go back for a while, but was going to ride Miami out until all the player options came up. Losing this past one just made it easier to leave. I'm not a Lebron fan anyway, just my opinion. I was raised a Knicks fan, and made to switch to OKC once they moved from Seattle (as I grew up in OK).
The Spurs are an excellent team who prevented the three-peat of the Heat. They took the lessons they learned last finals and applied them perfectly. So they went from being a moment away from beating the Heat last year, to murdering the Heat this year. I'm happy for Tim Duncan especially, since I feel like he is one of the most underrated, under-talked-about basketball stars. The only time I didn't like Duncan was when him and D.Robinson went to town against the Knicks in the finals when Ewing was hurt (and finishing this career too). People tend to forget how many Championships the Spurs have won since 1999 (it's five, and tends to break up streaks). |

Disclaimer: I'm a big Lebron fan (not blind , obnoxious or stupid). Have been since he joined the league. I moved to Miami in 08 (from PR so had no local team), so became Heat fan in 08. I'm grateful for the 4 years in Miami. No hard feelings. I'm a Heat fan and will root for Miami to win it all. If/when Heat are eliminated I'll root for him to win.
What I takeaway from this is, his attraction to home is bigger than chasing championships. I'm sure if the Heat won this last year, he would have stayed for two more years to try 4 straight and after those two years, then would have gone back home. Since it didn't happen and the Heat seemed to have taken a few steps back, then there was no strong reason to stay in Miami. It became more important for him to deliver one ring to Cleveland and keep that community growing than chasing 6+ rings. He earned the right to choose and that he did. It will be a different kind of challenge now, mentoring kids, elevating their game. Will be interesting to see.

I find it funny that the people that started to form a hatred for him after his announcement to come to Miami are digging up their LeBron Cavaliers jersey from the closets if they didn't burn it.

How sad are we in society, when big majority lives and dies to see failures? Lebron fails.. YES!! let's celebrate!! (nevermind the real story IS an incredible TEAM called the Spurs annihilated a very good Heat team even thought they had the best player in court). Argentina looses YES!!! they are arrogant (nevermind the real story here is a great Germany team earned the title) Messi needs to be more humble (nevermind what he was was really annoyed that he failed to bring a championship for his country). It's ridiculously stupid and I just refuse to live like that. I of course wanted to win the finals badly, but all props and accolades go to the Spurs. A great team that proved how Popovich's system works, no matter if guy #10 off the bench is on the floor. I was happy for them actually, they earned it and deserved it.

Yea, we need to hold him Accountable for one line, nevermind the context, and fuck whatever else he has done good. Another 2014 society example.

The notion that Lebron went back to Cleveland strictly as some altruistic, noble notion is laughable. Nowhere in his "candid" letter did he just come out and say it - I went back to Cleveland because the Miami Heat team sucks, the Cavs, with all those #1 picks, finally has something to offer, and because I really have nothing to lose legacy wise now that' I've won 2 championships in Miami. Oh, and I really don't lose any money either way.
You want to know who deserves respect. The man that stayed on a (mostly) shitty team for years and beat the "king" for his first ring. The man taking a paycut to remain on that team to try and win another ring. The guy who lets his work on the court do his talking (remember when Wade and James tried to make fun of his cold in the finals?). Dirty Dirk. As much as I hate having Nash take up money on my team, at least he was open about why he's staying - "for the money."

![]() That was a statement about Duncan winning another title. It had nothing to do with what Lebron has done good.
