^The price difference is almost naught in the US between the two (BRZ/base WRX), there is no reason to believe it will be different here.
Weather reason doesn't work, as a lot of the US is pretty darn cold and wintry too.

^ Theres 30 million people in Canada and 300 million in the states. We'll talk about the states first then Canada. Subaru can price cars cheap in the states because they would still get their "profit". For example 50% of people get the wrx thats 150 million sales. But if they do that here everyone will get the wrx and they wouldn't get their "profit"(30 million sales). Thats why Subaru added the premium on the wrx in Canada to make sure 50% of people buy it and subaru still gets their profit.

Looking at this forum alone pricing the BRZ at 30k+ would cause all of us to ditch Subaru and move to Scion. Im sure that people in marketing in Subaru HQ would price it under 30k and possibly 2000 above US pricing(25,495) so your looking at 27.5k for the base model. If pricing is not around there someone in marketing has to get fired or thrown in some ditch lol. But hopefully im right and ill create a thread saying "I TOLD YOU THERE NOT STUPID".

* All figures are hypothetically speaking, but you get the idea.

Don't think so - you are forgetting the BRZ supply is extremely tight, 1/4 or less of the FR-S volume. We can argue the merits (or stupidity) of paying 5K more for the Premier over the FR-S, but with the extremely low supply and number of ppl willing to pay that premium here, Subie Canada will be able to sell all of their tiny supply at those inflated prices - and they know it. They'll grab the fat profits where they can.
