There is no "right choice" other than what the consumer prefers themselves. Each person prioritizes things differently when purchasing a car. Both the Twins and GenCoupes are good cars in their own aspects.

I have absolutely no problem with your points about the 2 cars. You've stated several times, that the Genesis is a GT car vs. the Twins sports car. I fully agree with the statement and think both cars meet those respective standards well.

Here is another question in reference to the superior chassis argument. I don't find the twins to be too harsh and I daily mine with no issues (horrible winter pot holes and all). However, lets say I wanted the car to be softer. Wouldn't it be possible to change the suspension components to be softer and have the ride comfort equal to the Genesis and still manage to have a better handling car?
They are just very different platforms. The FT86 was designed to be lightweight, low to the ground, and centered around the driver and handling.

The Gencoupe is more of a traditional GT coupe where they rely more on power and tires to propel around the track. It has a more forgiving suspension, more of a luxury interior, and is pretty heavy and soft feeling next to the BRZ.

If you drive the two cars back to back, they are just very different cars. Trying to make a Gencoupe more like a FT86, or an FT86 more like a Gencoupe is probably the wrong idea. You buy the car that best fits what you want out of a sportscoupe.

I owned the both. I liked them both. But these cars are comparing apples to bananas.

Out of curiosity, what would you say is a bad car in its own aspect?

I like the Gen Coupe, but I don't want to give a car company money, which continues to make 'sports cars' bigger and bigger and bigger with more power. I don't want a 4,000lb car with 400 horsepower. I want 2700lbs with 250 horsepower.

Smaller and more power please.

I take it you're being rhetorical, seeing that the Genesis Coupe has the highest power/weight ratio for any car under $30,000.

Not at all, I know it has a great power/weight ratio along with a great power/cost ratio, I am saying it just kills a car to add weight....even if everything else about it is improving. Just my opinion to keep the cars light, no matter what as that is the real fun factor...for me.

I actually almost bought a 12' r-spec 2.0T as I loved how that car felt, the 13 just changed too much for me, all about the weight.

I second that opinion, but you do have to account for the fact that more power requires stronger or more exotic materials. It's all a matter of trade offs.

You implying that the Genesis is "exotic"?

More power needs stronger materials. The exotic part when it comes to weight savings.. Which the Genesis does not have.

Yes, I understand what you are saying and I agree with you (GT vs Sports car). I also agree that it would be dumb to start with one and mod towards the other.

My whole point stems from someone arguing with me on jalopnik and stating the Genesis had a superior chassis. Later on I found out his definition of superior chassis (mix of comfort vs. handling) differed with my definition (straight handling). So, i posed the question if the cars were on similar comfort levels, which car would have superior handling capabilities?

I agree with the mindset of building on strengths. Rather than improving on weaknesses.
