Take a look at orbitz. Lots of hotels in the near by area (even if its 45 minutes out still a lot closer) and make sure you folks use any coupon codes available on the internet.

Officially going. Visiting a friend in SC from August 2-9 and stopping at the 86expo on my way back to jersey on the 10th. Looking forward to this.

anyone in the tristate thinking about flying down? do we really need our cars there? if its closed off like Wicked Big Meet was then there really isnt a point in driving there :/ i dont know what to do.

What I ment is there one hotel that most of us will be using? When I went to TX2K12 we all got one hotel at the omni it saved us money since we had the whole hotel booked and there was a bad ass parking deck that was pretty much a car show/hangout at night.let me know what you guys and gals think

Guys i booked here: http://www.fairfax.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html

it came out to $159.70 from 08/09-08/11...i decided to leave Monday to avoid the weekend rush, worked out to $71 a night plus tax.

I'm going to the Ptuning Event Sunday, so this may not be ideal for people who are coming down Friday for the Sat AutoX at VA Beach.

Well I can officially say I'm 90% I'm out, the IMSA Tudor United Sports Car series will be running at VIR later in the month and, aside from probably not being able to swing both financially I can't get time off for both from work due to also having to take a weekend for my drill.

Sorry gents but I'd rather watch sports car racing than hang out in a parking lot with you guys. Nothing personal, just because racecar(s).
