Congrats indeed. More I see and read on this kit it seems impressive. Only unknown is if under taxing it if it has heating issues like most other too front mount kits. Last thing I want to do is gold tape everything and worry of coolant flying everywhere if want to track it. Not saying it will at all, just so few folks have this kit and so little info out there on it.

Well it comes with a turbo blanket, so that helps a lot. This is the link to the kit on Treadstones Website.

I would recommend wrapping the maf pipe do to heat soak at idle. Also heat wrap the down pipe. As well as a proper coating on the hot parts of this kit would not hurt as well. Out side of that I see no real issues. Transient response is nice.

Yea I wonder if that's an option just getting the inlet pipe b4 throttle body barrier coated? That's the only section I see tight to the hot side. At least from pictures anyhow.

@kmbkk

I just noticed from looking at your pictures to most recent kits the MAF placement on yours is on straight section just before the TB. While most recent pics of others is on the last bend. Now I am curious why they changed that? Would the most accurate reading not be on the straightest shot to the TB?

Also I see you're in Florida. Obviously hot summer days there have you ever beat in your car and seen any issues with heat soak, rad boil over etc etc? Asking as seem the FBM guys are shrouding this and that, taping this and that and so on and so on to avoid this.

My car was used to R&D the kit. I had to get my car back before the finished product was decided on, hence my MAF in a different location. I'm not sure why they moved it.

No heat issues for me. However, I haven't been home during the hottest part of the summer, but will be this year. Also, I have a vented hood, so I may not have the most accurate data.

The last one of these that I tuned had the base pressure set on the wg actuator at 20+psi out of the box. They recommend 14psi on pump gas, which is less than ideal to say the least. I'd recommend backing the preload out to about 5-6mm when you do the install. That'll give you a more sane 10-12psi on pump. If you plan on running an ebcs you may even consider going lower (with a new actuator/spring).
