i have an AT and i have never made it past 30mpg

wait a minute! maybe the first 600 miles I had the car, driving from portland to south bay? i was too tired to even look...

now it will have no chance to do made past that 30 mark.

Thanks!

lol, if you have the patience to camp out in the slow lane, you can get pretty good mpg with a twin. I actually got worse mpg in the first 1k miles because I never kept the same throttle % or mph. haha

Bay area traffic and certain drivers pretty much destroyed the tiny bit of patience left in me.

Lessons learn:

1. Sign: "Slow traffic keep right" -> Fact: Slow traffic never keep right

2. Sign: "65 mph" -> Fact: 55-60 mph on left most lane or everyone drive the same speed across 4 lanes

The only time I keep the same mph driving between 9PM and 6AM, cruise control on at [undisclosed] speed

This is the ideal place for me (see image)

lol, yeah, Bay Area traffic/drivers can get stupid. I'm surprised when I find drivers slower than me (I really shouldn't be since I see it daily) in the slow lane, and I switch over to the third lane to pass, and I encounter someone driving even slower. -_- Then there are those who camp on the fast lane which is flat out stupid.

Cruise control uses more gas imo since it keeps fluctuating the throttle % to manage the speed. But then again, unless you have a Scan Gauge or something equivalent, it's hard to know exactly how much you're stepping on the gas.

don't forget the ones that refuse to use the turnouts on single lane twisty roads and drive 10-20 below the limits.

exactly my drive on highway 9 on saturday after the drive. everyone think they have skills cos they have a license. here are some skills"

skill no. 1: constant braking - brake so much they might as well hold that brake so those lights doesn't hurt my eyes

skill no. 2: driving on a straight at a speed of a corner

skill no. 3: either lack of common sense, blind or can't read English

"Slow Traffic use turn out"
i gave them 5 turnouts... after that i'm passing at turn out or the left-over straight

unfortunately there are no places to pass on the way down 92 towards Half Moon Bay. This idiot in a Mercedes was doing 20 below the limit the entire way down. No one even close to him in front with about 8 of us behind him.

Recommendations for paintless dent repair?

Got a door ding on the rear quarter, I can see it when I look in the side view mirror . The car at least had door trim, so at least no chipped paint.

Woohoo, actually did my goal with the FR-S of getting at least 40 calculated mpg! I lost at least 1 mpg sitting in traffic due to an overturned fuel truck yesterday as well.
