I'll be out of commission for a while until it gets repaired.

I hope I get it back in time for 86expo
Evan, sorry to hear that man.
I remember curbing a wheel in the first month I had it and I was sooo mad. This is even worse so hopefully you get your baby back soon.

Hopefully none of our new members have their cars on the Brockville derailed trains!
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa...ille-1.2702046

At least 2 car carriers were derailed among the 20 railcars that skipped off the tracks.

86 Expo

As I am a nervous traveler and like to have everything planned out prior to setting off on a trip, I have been poking around the Manassas area close to PTuning for suitable Hotels.

Unless I have missed something, no one on the other threads seems to have settled on hotels in VA - and I think some are going all the way to VA Beach(?) for the Saturday race/track events.

There are two hotels really close to the PTuning show location:
Super8 Manassas and Best Western Manassas - under 3.5mi away actually.
Super 8 is $75; BW is $99 - that is for refundable reservations, 2 Queen beds, non-smoking.

As far as I know the Ottawa group, will go from Ottawa to Carlisle (7.5hrs) Fri Aug 8; do something Sat Aug 9 in around Carlisle(?) and drive to Manassas on Sat Aug 9 (3hrs), stay in Manassas Sat Aug 9; go to PTuning Show & Shine Sun Aug 10, drive back to Carlisle (3hrs) stay in Carlisle Sun night; continue home to Ottawa Monday Aug 11 (7.5hrs).

2, 2x Queen rooms are already booked by me in Carlisle.

I am planning on booking the same at the Super8 mentioned above unless someone objects or can get a better deal somewhere else.

I want to close on this sooner than later.

Ken

Well it always depends on you guys.. But I could book an Hampton Inn 10 miles (35 minutes from PTunning following google map) for 29$ a night (2 dbl beds and such). It all depends if you guys think 70$ a night is worth being closer, i personally dont mind either.

It all stems from bullshit with my dealership/salesman. I just wish I could get some good service.

I have some good and bad news from today
Good: Vibration seems to have disappeared. Don't ask how, I don't know.

Bad: Was taking care of the bugs on my bumper during lunch, and one bug seems super hard to get off. My pressure washer has a really high pressure on it and it wasn't removing all the guts. Whatever. Spray my bug remover and start scrubbing, bastard still won't come off. I look closer and it's scratches...
Last Sunday at the gas station I work at two stupid fucking kids decided it was a great idea to ride their bike and skateboard between my car and the gutter. Well... As you can assume I have a scratch down to metal, and a few not so deep ones. I'm so pissed. I don't the car will get scratched and dinged since it's my daily and I put a metric shit-ton of KMs on it. But a month and a half into ownership this is not what I want
I'm so anal about this car being spotless I've considered having the panel painted. Next time I head to MTL I'll stop by my friend's place and see what we can do.

ON TOP OF IT ALL THE CAR WON'T EVEN DO A WHEEL STAND!!!! What is this bullshit? Do I have to do the pedal dance thing or something? I feel like the car just cuts power a second after I get on the brakes.

My S13 with ~200hp at the crank did em just fine. Maybe the turbo helped. Maybe the rear brakes were worse.

I don't know. I guess this really isn't the car for me...
