Anyone have a nice camera they could bring along? I have a feeling this will make for an epic photo shoot. We could even do a class of 2014 type photo.

@Extreme86 is the unofficial club photographer. I'd guess he's got plans already.

Gee thanks! I'm happy to remain the official unofficial everything. Low key and behind the scenes is my forte but, life ain't always that way! I would advise those with camera skills greater than mine to bring their camera as well...cause I don't have a wide angle lens that might be needed to get all these 86s together in one shot!!!

For sure! Also, we need to line up another key element for a successful run..."Team Leaders". You know who you are! PM me. Only requirement for a team leader is that you have done the SIST3RS run more than once so you know the route and the road in order to set the pace. It would be a +1+ if you had a co-pilot to be the "communications officer" to relay pertinent road information to the rear - often, that is hard to do while driving when engaged in turning/shifting the twisties!

Why teams? It is wise to break up into smaller groups of cars rather than having a huge procession of the entire Texas Meet group. It is a safety aspect and it draws less attention to us so we can be a bit more aggressive in the fun spots. If there is a slow down encounter on the road with traffic - it will be easier to deal with. 7-10 in a group is ideal. If we have a very large turnout for this event, up to 15 in a group is doable. Those of us who have done the sisters on a regular basis want this to be a safe and fun run for everyone.

Basically, we are all just 86 enthusiasts gathering together to have some fun and spend time together...or to score some awesome giveaway stuff when we get to the Bent Rim Grill in Leakey for lunch! Other than this website or facebook groups we have no official "club membership". Our common bond is that the majority of us live in Texas and we all own a BRZ or FRS...or want to own one soon perhaps! Participation in this event is totally voluntary and by participating in this state meet and Twisted Sisters run everyone acknowledges that ft86club.com, the organizers, donating vendors, team leaders, etc. bear no responsibility for any injury or accident should anything like that occur. The #1 priority is that we all be safe and respect other people on the road. If this was an "organization" you'd be signing a "release form" but, since it's not, the above disclaimer is something we've made clear in the past when we organize a TS run. Pretty sure @Dustin concurs with all this and its something that needs to be said at the outset for sure. Forgive me if it sounds like a lecture! I've worked with attorneys and judges in the past at a professional level so it's in everyone's best interest that we have this understanding now because of the legalistic world we live in. eNuff said. Comprende? If so, just give me or Dustin a Thanks! if he dittos me on this so we can keep it real simple without further comment. I appreciate your understanding!

We'll have more info on "teams" as we get closer to Aug. 9th (4 weeks!)...at least, I hope we do. If you don't volunteer, I'm gonna draft some people!!!!! Pretty Please....team leaders? PM me!!! You guys (or gals!) are crucial in making this run a success!!!
