Saw your epic spin on your last run, nice job.

It was my first autocross ever, and I'm addicted now. A more experienced driver sat with me on my first run. He gave me some tips, which helped a lot.
I think I saw you parked next to the guy above but I don't think I saw you drive, maybe you were driving in the afternoon. We left by then.

The finish was awful, the worst I've seen in a while. Not sure who thought that was a good idea. Welcome to the AutoX addiction.

I usually go to GGLC events. The courses are generally so-so and they use way too many cones. But I still have a great time and you get a lot of seat time. The club is well run and organized. We had 13 runs that day, a morning and afternoon course. I'll usually be in a Grey BRZ if you want to come say hi.

Don't remember seeing a red BRZ, so not sure if you made it, but there were 5 or so different 86s out there in varying levels of setup.

We were in the same run group, but I was two cars behind you each time. It didn't take very long for each run group to finish their 6-7 runs. I'll be sure to greet you next time!

Nice. Yeah... the co-driver thing was kind of weird, but whatever. It was good event. I like that I was out of there before lunch.

Ahhh, I think I remember now. The BRZ on Rivals? Next to the white BRZ on Z2s. For some reason I thought it was an FRS, not sure why though. You were in the same run group as my co-driver, who was running in A. I was running in the B group that event, so while you were on break. In any case, will look forward to meeting you next time.

Yeah, never heard of a group that sends all 5 at once then all of the other drivers runs. Usually you switch off between runs.

It was a good event and fun course. It was nice to get out of there by lunch time. Was back home by the early afternoon with a whole day left. Good stuff.

Anyway, will catch ya next time out there.

Just to clarify, if I want to participate in the SFR Oakland event, I just need to register and pay for the weekend membership? I don't need to be an SCCA member, right?

Yup, if you're not an SCCA member you need to get the weekend membership. I suggest pre-registering right now so you don't have to pay more for on site registration. I believe when you pre-register you can choose to pay for the weekend membership as well.

Yes you can; it is a check box. Source: I just registered.

What car were you driving? The Oakland course was really short, but I enjoyed it. Quite a bit of gravel though.

If you are referring to the car I think you are, that is not really out of the box, but yes they are fun with minimal investment.

I'm glad you had a blast in my car Edison. I just wasn't happy that you drove my car better than Des and I did. I'm just going to believe that the Coliseum's surface was better when you ran and just got worse by the time we went. Yup, that's what it was...*sniff*, *sniff*.....
