If I wasnt in cue for an OFH i would be all over this. It comes with all gaskets so factor that into the cost.

I'm going to assume because AVO is a company focused on tuning Subarus which traditionally are known for their burbbly sound produced by the UEL , not many turbo Subarus came with a equal length if I'm not mistaken.

And space...its easier to route pipes when you dont care about the length.

how do you guys think Tomei UEL compares to JDL UEL in terms of dyno numbers and curve overall? Just debating whether 2.38" Tomei will be a bit lower than 2.5" JDL

Don't know what the stocker runners are, but in theory, you would increase low end torque having 2.38" runners vs 2.5", but perhaps sacrifice some top end. It's not "back pressure" that you need, it's scavenging. NOT the same thing, don't let noobs fool you.

Downside having the Tomei is that you would have a significantly lower output should the car be supercharged. It's not going to flow as much as 2.5" will.

Do the el headers have 2.38" runners as well?

I don't even know if that's the actual runner diameter, just going off of someone else's claim. However, if it is correct, then there would be no reason to change piping sizes between EL and UEL. That just means that have to purchase large amounts of 2 different piping sizes. Not to meantion R&D on 2 different diameters.

If it's anything like their "N/A" exhausts, 2.38" is their standard sizing.

would there be a big disadvantage for a 2.38" diameter compared to 2.5"?
