Well I was thinking about coming tomorrow but I snapped 2 wheels studs today =(

Plus I think I just roasted my fluid due to not compressing a caliper enough and then overworking it trying to bed the in, so I have some more work to do tomorrow.

How'd you do that?

In any case, you can have 2 of my OEM studs if you need them. You can't have them all incase I snap mine.

I don't understand how roasted your fluid but you should just bleed out the fluids in the lines, as you do, refill the reservoir.

Thanks man. I'll let you know. Looking at options right now.

I'm gonna have to wait and check on the fluid. The pedal got super soft coming home. Once I go and recheck all the piston and let them cool down I'll know for sure. One brake was smoking because I think it was making constant contact with the rotor. I have ore fluid so it shouldn't be a big deal.

I gotta ask (curiosity is killing me) what/where did you go to have created such a dangerous scenario? Snapping studs and boiling brake fluid-that's a recipe for disaster.

The studs broke when i came home after attempting to bed the brakes. The pedal started to get slightly mushy so i went to check the fluid and after turning back home it was constantly squealing like it was making contact. It thought i compressed each piston fully and everything mounted up OK it seemed. The stud broke when i got home and went to check the brakes. Might have been a mistake to do it with the brakes so hot as it made everything else warm as well.

Tl:dr no i did not attempt to bed in brakes on 4 studs, it happened after when trying to diagnose. I stopped and grannied home immediately upon feeling a pressure loss

Edit: the fluid to me is puzzling. I cant imagine boiling it juat following CSGs instructions. Im sure the pad is in constant contact with the rotor but unsure if that could affect fluid in any way. The pedal went soft but I still had braking capability by applying more pressure. Any diagnosis ideas? At this point i am going to recheck each piston and bleed the brakes. Then i will rebed once i can replace the studs sometime next week. Until then the car will be sitting.
