250 is beyond blown head gasket temps. Anything north of 215 is scary land. 220-225 is where the gaskets give out for sure. If the block is 250 there is no coolant in it (air locked?) or the coolant is not moving. On our blocks we install 250deg plugs. If it gets that hot, we know.

Are these coolant or oil temps?

Do you have any of the exhaust wrapped or a turbo blanket? If you're tracking you may need to go to a vented hood

Really scary...

There have to be air bubbles in the system or something... 250 water is extreme.

If it's not air in the system it might be a pinched coolant line or thermostat not opening all the way. You can try testing your thermostat or if this is a strict track vehicle the next time you track the car try running it without the thermostat and see what kind of temps you get.

I'm wondering if you cooked a headgasket and under boost it's pushing coolant causing air to get in the system. My buddy's celica did that exact thing, it would be fine driving normal and slow but when he would get three laps on the track under boost it would boil over.
