He should call FA20Club? For what? They supplied the hardware but his issue does not seem related to the kit itself. It seems related to the tune. He's not tuned by them so why would he be calling them?

Why not? FA20Club sells tunes and does e-tuning. It also means they are implying that they are capable of tuning as well.

Either way, his build thread said it was tuned by the greatest tuner. He may want to contact his tuner for more information rather than asking the rest of the community that doesn't have access to his tune and datalogs to identify the issue.

Well he didn't have FA20Club tune it so how are they going to know what's going on when they didn't tune it?

His problem is most likely not related to any component of the kit that FA20Club supplied so their likelihood to be able to fix it without charging him for a new tune is not likely.

I stated he should contact his tuner and the problems he's describing seem injector scaling related, which others have experienced and agree with. We're not saying definitively that the issue is related to scaling but it's something to look at.

Fuel trim and injector scaling. It's just an issue when it comes to larger injectors. Once dialed in, cold and hot starts need to be addressed. Once those are dialed in, heat soak starts and quick restarts from WOT use and stall.

Check MAF seal. Seems unlikely to be the issue, but I've found a broken MAF seal on a friend's car to be the culprit of his seemingly poor tuning performance issues. Same type of symptoms.

Does your car have larger port injectors? If the car was already sort of difficult to start when you picked it up and is now becoming even more difficult to start when the weather is hotter, it's likely that the cranking enrichment needs to be addressed. Hard starts are generally caused by the engine being flooded with fuel.

heh, from my experience not that easy as you may think (my car was also dyno tuned at prime by JR). JR did not reply to my emails and prime fed me with promises that they will let JR know about my issues. basically, ended up being waste of money.

That's valuable insight. I suggest stating it in a review thread, if you haven't done so already. There's nothing more aggravating than a company that's quick to take your money but slow to support you.

I mean prime motoring is pretty responsive with me, I figured JR wasn't around since he was tuning in Israel for a bit so I just had to wait till he got back.

JR sent me an email this morning saying he's gonna sort stuff out. 👍
