Look at John's CS build. 245/40-17 RS3's. I just put 235 Z2's on mine and love them over stock. My plans are crash bolts, perrin bar and wheels/tires.

Oh, haven't seen this covered. My civic liked a half tank or so of gas, any fuel issues with the twins? Also, spare tire in or out? They have a practice on Saturday, may go evaluate all this stuff.

I have not had any problems with fuel starvation. I usually start out with 1/4 tank.

As far as spare in/out. I think that is all driver's preference.

Some people say the twins are too loose with them out, and some love it.

Cant seem to find information on this...do you know when the ETA is? I think my tires will run out by the end of this month so I might not be able to wait that long.

My concern with getting the Z2's now is that they'd be discontinued...would suck if I needed just 1 replacement.

I believe the release date is november.

http://tyre.dunlop.co.jp/tyre/lineup...er/direzza/z2/

As an added bonus. if you click on the 3rd tab, you'll find Dunlop Direzza zII Star Spec 86.

Which in my opinion is all kinds of awesome sauce.

No English!

On a side note, if i happen to take a 245 tire on a 7" rim for a random lapping day, how bad is it for the tire?

I know people who run 245 on a 7" for autoX. I guess it depends on your suspension set-up and sidewalls.

I don't think it would be bad for the tires, but probably not the fastest on the track.

Was your Civic an '89? They didn't have fuel pumps. STC guys tell me they check everyone's fuel gauge and throw paper if they're under a quarter tank.

I've run mine damn near to the fumes and had no issues. When the fuel light comes on you have about three gallons left.

Last couple events I've had the fuel light for a number of runs. I get a little paranoid and then put some fuel in. But I have never had fuel starvation at this time. And I agree with about 1/4 tank of gas

For a one driver event, gridding as the low fuel light comes on seems to be ideal. These things has excellent fuel pickup. I've runt he car hard on minimal fuel without stumbling.

I usually try to show up just at or under 1/4 tank for a 2 driver day

I showed up to my last event with less than a half tank for the first time. And I was faster! Go figure.

Mine's a 91, they all have fuel pumps. How you going to check someones fuel gauge when the car is off? I had to be about half tank or it could starve and stumble. I guess the car would be an STC car now days.

Anyway, I wanted to see where I should leave the fuel level, I was going to start at 1/2 tank, I figured they'd have good baffling in the tank since they're designed as a sports car with cornering in mind.

They would check in grid while they were running, or just ask them to turn on the ignition in impound to see it.

'90 is when they started carrying fuel pumps. Odd, my buddy had one - could run a quarter tank and be ok. We're running off topic though...

Ok, looking at the crash bolts, and comparing them to a 14mm flange bolt from my industrial hardware store, they're pretty much the same except the toyota part costs 6 times as much. Looking at the rule book, 13.0 allows you to substitute a bolt ie like wheel studs. Any reason one couldn't just pick up a couple 14mm bolts from elsewhere and use them? Pretty sure any grade 10.9 flange bolt would suffice, as that is all Toyota is selling you.

I doubt anyone would protest you

and if they did, I doublt they could tell the difference in the bolts
