Rear axle click when entering the car?

For about a month I have noticed a clicking sound (almost like a torque wrench click) when entering or exiting the car. I dont think its a broken axle because there is no clicking when I accelerate or brake. I have had no modification but I have done 3 track days.

any ideas?

I have an auto FRS (13'), I noticed the same sometimes when I put up my e-brake and exit the car. it could be coming from the part of the rotor that touches the e-brake mechanism, in this case It could be rubbing or something when the car slightly moves when entering or exiting. I weigh about 200 pounds, Iv had my mother try to replicate the sound when exiting the car (I think she weighs in around 100-130 lbs) who knows? and it never makes a sound. I have never heard it when the e-brake is all the way down.

Iv never really thought too much of it, even when my e-brake is half way up or like 75% up, no sound. only when its fully engaged. (meaning the lever is pulled all the way up) and even then, it only happens sometimes...

I have never "ripped" my e-brake to drift, only if im on a hill or trying to look cool while stationary.

Most cars I've been in make noise when you get in if the ebrake is 'on'. Some cars are louder than others, some times its a groan or a creak or in some cars you can hear the e-brake cable stretch as the suspension compresses.

Its normal.

This noise is coming from the E-Brake.

This is the passenger counter. It makes sure you do not try to carry more than 4 passengers (including driver). If you do, you will be charged double occupancy and it will charge you for that porno that you "accidentally ordered".

I get that click when I put it into reverse for the first time in the morning.

Last year I did have a drivers side axle replaced under warranty. At that time it was doing in acceleration and deceleration.

You notice a new clicking sound since your previous axle was replaced? how noticeable is it? do you need to have the windows down and music off to hear it? or is it noticeable all the time for cold starts?

Thanks all for the replies. I try leaving it in gear as opposed to using the e-brake. I'll update later.

I always hear it. My car is in the garage so its really easy to hear. Its always had a little clank if you will when putting it into reverse. Its the same sound as when the axle broke. Did it before the axle and with the new one. So Im not worried. Its when I take off from a stop sign and hear it then I will be worried.
