Given your marine environment, any color with a clearcoat topcoat that suits you will do.
In the recent past, certain reds in particular had no clearcoat but I'm uncertain if the GT red does. Anyway, I'd be looking toward silver. It hides dirt well, has a clearcoat and is relatively easy to match in the event of bad luck. But I'm biased with my unique silver 10 Series FWIW. |

Black roofs aren't great, but I'd rather see one on a white car than a blue one. Contrasting colors and whatnot.

I love the red obviously. Have owned one other red car (velocity red mazda3). But this one has no metallic flake in it. I would like to recommend red because it is such an attention grabber. I really think you cant go wrong in any colour with this car. In my humble opinion and with no offense to anyone who chose this colour, asphalt would be my last choice because I find dark grey to be more of a European style colour (porche , audi, jaguar). The only problem I have with the red, is that the clear tail lights stand out alot more than white or silver.

I would get red, along with the DRL looks pretty sporty to me.

well since pearl white is the fastest colour, that means its already top of my list lol
The only issue for me, even before i got the car is that the white seems to be the most common around |

I have a red one, and it has its ups and downs.
Ups - its sexy as fuck. Downs - Makes me paranoid as shit whenever I drive by any cops even if I'm not doing anything wrong. |

Thanks everyone for the replies so far,

When I saw how the blue reflected the light. I was sold. My next preference would be white. Looks crazzzyyy if done up right.

Whiteout looks very vibrant when clean and in the light. The metallic specks in the paint make it pop.
But be warned, it can have color mismatches between the bumper covers and body. It takes on a slightly different hue depending on whether the underlying material is plastic or metal.

I love Whiteout. It looks great, but there are some flaws. Any panels not from the factory will be extremely hard to match up. You can only see the discoloration in certain lights though, most of the time it looks fine.
Although, I won't be white for very much longer because of this reason. :P You can see it a little in these photos. ![]() But none in this one.

Black washes well, just use demineralized water, and you get no water marks.... and the shiny metal look great in the sun...

This When I checked out the BRZ in person, the dark blue was what I test drove and absolutely could not look back. Ultimately, though, every color this car comes in looks spectacular, and there is no wrong choice. |

I went with asphalt.. second choice was blue. And although i don't regret my choice, I still find the blue amazing everytime I see it. Just feels like it highlights the sheetmetal work in a way that no light colour can, and is somewhat less maintenance than black. Red is nice as well but even recent red cars tend to fade in the sun, so plan for opti coat or similar if you go that way.
