Is there another way to keep the turn signal lights on?

Hi guys,

I bought some LED turn signal lights and installed them. They hyper flash, as expected, but they also cause the turn signal lights to stay on. I think it looks great! I found out about the legality of having white rear turn signals, so I just changed those back to stock until I install my Valenti's this weekend. Unfortunately, now the lights won't stay on.

Is there a way to get them to stay on? The front of the car looked so much nicer with the cool white turn signal lights on.

I believe the answer is a Tapturn module or led switchbacks. I'm personally eyeing the tapturn.

Are you sure you have the right bulbs? Front signals are supposed to be 7443 and rears are 7440. They both look the same physically but the 7443 also work as running bulbs.

All those seem to do is alter the flashing of the bulbs. I'd like to keep them turned on, then get brighter when signaling.

I'm sure I've got the right bulbs. The lights won't stay on because I've only got the lower watt bulbs in the front now. The car thinks the bulb is out, making it hyper-flash. When the incorrect bulb is in the front AND the back, they hyper-flash, as well as showing both turn signal lights on the dash, keeping constant power to the signals for some reason. It looked really good though, and I want to keep it that way.

Ebay. $2 each. My wife ordered them for me, so I'm not sure what they're called.

Anyone else have any ideas? I'd like them to stay on as in the above photos.

Check the polarity of the wires on the led.

Had the same issue. Unplugged every led and installed one by one and tested to make sure there were functioning.

They all work just fine. They blink with the turn signal as they are supposed to. I just want them to be on all the time, then blink brighter when using the signal.

If you're saying they're the correct bulbs, won't argue with you there....but based off what you're describing, it really sounds like you have the 7440 bulbs plugged in the front, which are meant for the rears and don't stay on as running lights...

BRZ front and rear bulbs are all 7440 because they're front signals don't stay on like the FRS. I saw this issue pop up a few times in my research because people didn't realize there is a difference between the front 7443 vs the rear 7440.

If you can't figure it out, you can always opt for switchback bulbs like the one in the following link to keep that clean look and keep them legal. Not cheap though lol

Top left: ebay chrome bulbs, 7443. They are painted chrome, but light up amber. Stays on with the lights and blinks when I use the signal.
Top right: Still of the switchback LEDs.
Bottom: Video of it in operation.
