I'm interested in hearing about the coating from someone who lives in a hot place like AZ.

I've read that heat wrapping is not a great idea as it traps moisture, oil, etc. If it traps oil, it can catch on fire. If it traps water, it can cause corrosion (stainless steels being susceptible to crevice and pitting corrosion).

So I have a simple, maybe stupid question. Will my aftermarket Perrin exhaust & FT 86 headers fail a smog test?? In Hawaii we have safety checks, while in Las Vegas, which is where I am moving to, tests for smog...any insight would be nice.
Thanks, Ace |

Haha, well, that's the thing, I wanted to know ahead of time, you know, before I start modifying the hell out of my ride. Hawaii has different safety laws, which does not pertain to smog. I have never tested my rides for smog, so I'm not sure how it works lol.

As a former resident I can tell you that they are really relaxed compared to California. You will pass smog as long as you don't have a CEL. Most shops don't even do a visual they just plug it into their computer do a run... no CEL=pass...
