Invidia N1 Exhaust
How many of you would recommend this exhaust? And if you do have it, how is it?

I am wondering this too. It seems loud in videos but it might be too loud and could cause daily headaches.

With only the N1 it is not overly loud. Will not cause any head aches unless you are very sensitive to sound. However I have heard that if you do other exhaust mods, the N1 may seem a bit to loud. I would advise you use the search button and look in the engine/exhaust section of the forums. This question has been asked many times.
In my personal opinion though, it is a very good sounding exhaust. Very low and grumbly and does not have any drone unless you are cruising above 4k rpms for a period of time. |

I love mine. Not too loud. I also put the catless mid pipe on and still not overly loud.
You're in orange county and I frequent that area pretty often. I can give you a ride if you come to the Irvine Meet on Tuesdays |

Mine isn't too loud as well. I love it so far, but I may be upgrading to something new in the future.

I have a full exhaust, cat-less header. I put the silencers in on the highway and its great, not much louder than stock and no drone. I pull them out at the track and its under 100dB from 50 feet. It does drone badly without the silencers on the highway. I am not sure what it sounds like with a stock setup and just the N1 though. Not bad for the price.

I love my N1 as well.
Sound is amazing if you are into deep, loud exhausts. Took my car to a shop for an alignment and the guy said as I was leaving that the N1 on my car was one of the best sounding exhausts he'd heard recently. Nothing like the ricer fart cans. When you first install the catback it will be louder than normal until it "calms down" |

Asking this question is honestly arbitrary and pointless. Loud or nice to one is obnoxious or droney to another. You have to get out and listen to it in person, because online videos are truly useless too because the microphones are different when used to compare the sounds of these versus say a Perrin. When you hear someone's N1, be sure to ask how many miles are on it. Carbon builds up and changes the sound. I bought mine used locally and it has a deep, though loud growl. I get compliments from both average Joes and car enthusiasts alike. I love my exhaust, but I'm getting nervous as I get ready to finish my h/op/fp. Conventional wisdom seems to be that the N1 is great if you're staying at cat-back and not moving up.
