The way I see it, a cat back completes one of the most aesthetically significant portions of any car, the sound.

When I took delivery, even in stock form, the 86 is marvelous but its overly restrictive muffler and almost comically small exhaust tips just made it look weird. I have to say that a good catback will do wonders for your driving experience, even if it doesn't increase power.

Agreed! I can't find any videos of the exhaust with everything else stock. I have seen some Q300 videos sound good and some were quiet.

Manzo Cat back! there are two version. I have the V.2 and will be installing it tomorrow. Its 2.75" diameter so better than 2.5 but not quite 3. You could get there front pipe as well, maybe, depending on price.

I bought a used one, and the quality is really good. Welds look good, material holds up really well. It is not the lightest exhaust but I'm looking forward to a sounds that is a little bit louder than stock but doesnt drone on the highway.

PM me if you want me to send you some photos and sound clips. I have pics of the system now and will have sound clips hopefully by noon tomorrow

Manzo catback

Hey for $835 we put on a PLM overpipe and frontpipe with a freeflow cat and a Manzo catback. Fitment on all was excellent. Sound is excellent. Could not be happier with the budget header back exhaust.

- $110 Magnaflow muffler

- $18 flange

- $52 muffler tip

- $50 labor for welding at the local muffler shop

Dual exit is about $20 more for the muffler + another muffler tip.

SMMFH

if you want to make it faster on the cheap you can also take your interior, hood, doors, front fenders and trunk off for weight reduction. I hear removing the air filter also helps free up flow, and for the extreme enthusiast just unbolt the exhaust manifold flanges and drop teh whole system. That would drop weight AND free up and excess back pressure

I'm assuming "SMMFH" stands for Shake My Mother Fucking Head?

If so, why the hell are you posting? He was able to do something cheaper than what most of us pay to have done from a big company. Do you feel better that you have a muffler shop do your exhaust the exact same way, yet you pay probably 6 times more than he did? Sometimes doing it this way is much more beneficial.

God, some people are just such pretentious assholes on here.

THIS!!!! Catback can be done for next to nothing, just like this exhaust. I did this on my last car and couldn't have been happier. Any good muffler shop can make you a comparable system like this one for cheap.

Sounded as good as any high dollar system for $200. Then take the money you saved and put it towards another mod, maybe a header or tune.

Muffler - Magnaflow 12586 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-12586

Muffler tip - Red Tail Performance RTP-38B

Flange - 2.5 " flange username customfabshopcom on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Bolt-Unive...3D131178038815

Just a fair warning - with a stock header this muffler is even quieter than stock. I bought this to tame the JDL UEL and it is perfect for that. Straight through design too.
