Triple pass radiator, seeking another 3rd party tester

(In case this post is seen as too commercial, I have preemptively enquired and paid to be a sponsor)

Manji Performace is a new startup, geared to supply the track orientated higher end buyer with quality products.

We've owned this platform since they came out, and initially acted as 3rd party testers for product developers. Over time, we've realised that there is a lack of parts that can withstand severe track abuse, or products simply don't exist.

For quite some time now, we have been developing our own parts where we have found the previous items we have tested to offer lack luster performace.

We have several items currently developed, some of which is close to be offered to market.

  • The purpose of this post/annoucement is to seek a 3rd party tester for our new radiator... FOUND. Thanks.
  • Ideally, this person will be currently experiencing heat issues
  • Be operating a car in excess of 400whp
  • Be an experienced track user
  • Live in a particularly hot/humid climate
  • Be techinically and mechanically minded
  • Has acted as a 3rd party tester prior
We currently have this unit installed in our own car, as well as another turbo'd track 86. However, there is only two of us in New Zealand that are turbo. And we also do not experience extreme weather here. 30 deg C is a hot day here.

Already we are very happy with how the unit is performing. It is enduring 90min track sessions; on a FI car, which only ended as it had used a tank of fuel. The test car ran no vented bonnet or otherwise, and we also ran it with the aircon on full. Ambient temp was around 15deg C.

We're not at a stage of commercially annoucing the unit or offering it for sale yet. Timeline for this would be September - best case.

We're prepared to release the following information for anyone that is interested.

  • We start with a PWR core. This is Australian made. Every other radiator we have tested to date has had a Chinese sourced core.
  • The radiator is then fabricated to our specifications by a business that currently supplies to many motorsport applications; including the current NZV8 touring cars
  • The unit is 3 pass
  • The unit is dual core
  • The unit has an intergrated oil cooler
  • The unit uses OEM hose locations
  • The unit is provided with 2x spal or davies craig fans (purchaser's choice.)
  • The unit while being significantly thicker than the OEM unit, has been designed to work on various applications. If your IC piping goes over your current radiator, it will clear this unit. Ditto CAI or OEM airbox.
  • This unit thickness is added towards the nose of the car, not towards the motor.
  • The unit uses stock mounting tabs.
  • The unit accomdates the AC heat exchanger. It also does not require you to bend the AC hard lines to install it.
  • We are able to offer this unit in a narrower core, which provides more than enough cooling for an NA application, while minimising unit weight.
  • Worldwide warranty - conditions apply.
At this stage, that's all the info we want to provide. We have kept detailed logs of all tests of this unit, as well as others; however we need to clarify with the forum moderators as to whether we are allowed to post these test results, as they could be seen as attacking another vendors product.

No pricing or RRP, or commercial post at this stage.

Please PM us with some information if you would like to be a 3rd party tester for this unit.

EDIT - we have found the tester we're looking for.

Briefly, some of the other interesting products we have in testing at present..
Tubular subframe (we have two designs)
Drysump
NA Headwork, in conjuction with another company
Steering angle modifications (for drifters)
A NZ/AUS legal premium turbo kit
And quite a few other things, that aren't so big ticket, but we feel make a difference.

Don't know how to contact him since he was banned for calling out a lying vendor, I think He is on the 86 drift New Zealand facebook group. You may already know him though.

Wow, Diss7 banned... he was one of the people who made this forum worth visiting. I've heard from many people on this forum there is no warning system. its just life long insta bans with vague reasoning...

It's sad to see such a imperial forum.

@jamesm

Better tuner than some "Master" tuners, great with logs and the analytical engineering skills to go with it.

I'll send you a PM.

I'm running at WTAC this October and it'd be a good environment to test it.

Grimmspeed did quite a lot of testing with all sorts of intake options and posted them, they are still around.

Please post up the data and let people figure it out for themselves on what they want.

Cheers.

I was quite sad when I realized diss7 was banned. I had been talking to him for a little while and was helping him out with something here in Canada. If you can reach him, let him know to contact me so we can finish the unfinished business.
Sorry for the minor thread jack.

PWR core... Very nice. Nismo Japan and USA source their stuff for racing and street applications.

I'm a fan already.
