Had a car pace me on the tollway, and when I finally noticed and looked over I saw a big smile and a thumbs up. Then they just fell back and continued driving.

No trying to race, no douchebag-ery, just "nice car". It was pleasant.

About a month back had a guy walking out to the outskirts of the parking lot at the same time and I said to myself that this guy definitely owns the RX-8 two spots from mine and sure enough it was. He turned to face me and said nice car and that he test drove one, but, needed the extra back seat space that the RX-8 had and a little more power. I complimented him back and said that it works for me and my kids since our whole family is vertically challenged (plus his kids were teenagers). I also told him that definitely is a lot of fun and that I don't regret getting it at all.

I did a double look-back after I parked my car at the bank today and gave myself a thumbs up.

Had an older fellow in a late 90's Celica in traffic ask me; "Is that the new MR2?!"

I had just parked in a mall parking lot and a kid, who was maybe 16, had come up to me gushing about MY car. He told me how it was his favourite car, and how he wanted to own one. I let him sit in it, and then listen to the start-up sound when he was standing behind it.

So cool.

Was driving through a local shopping complex when I heard some little kid on the sidewalk yell "IS THAT A MCLAREN!??"

Wide smiles for miles.

Had some little blonde chick in a Genesis Coupe stare me down at a redlight and through the intersection as she drove by.

I guess that counts, right?

I was driving through my neighborhood on Sunday afternoon and saw a young blond mom and her toddler walking down the sidewalk. As I gave a friendly wave and slowly drove past, I heard her turn to her toddler and say, "Isn't that a pretty car!"

Surprised me a bit considering I've got a not-so-quiet Perrin non-resonated exhaust on there.

what funny is i dont get a lot of people actually asking me or telling me things.

i get thumbs up a lot and A LOT of people breaking their necks

caught one here:

but i do give a lot of other car guys thumbs up and majority of the time we end up cruising together.

however when i tell people its a subaru, they have this disgusted look on their face...maybe i should just create some exotic name
