You can buy the new BeSpoke with nav on the forums for about 400. Winjet HID lights (not as good as OEM but still look great) cost about 450 or so. Foglights cost about 150, Kneepads cost about 300 from JPM coachworks and are better quality than the OEM vinyl stuff. It might just be easier to add those things in than spend another 5k+.

SALES GIMMICK YES, also a chance for me to get the brz instead of the FRS!! lol
I failed when getting my frs I wanted silver GOT ASPHALT, I wanted a BRZ got a FRS lol. I still love my FRS dont get me wrong but if yours has 29k mi and theyre going to give you 20k $! mine only has 5600mi~ about to own it for a year, Ill break even most likely and be able to start over! so i wouldnt mind this at all ![]() Yes I know i failed! I love how both cars look, and in the end it is only looks and name. I think the biggest fail I Did was not getting argento like I wanted I listened to the gf when she said "silver is so boring, get the dark grey one thats a sexy color!" (In my defense, I was on the fence with argento and asphalt, only because I told myself I need to try and stay away from getting another black car which is my favorite color.)LOL I agree with her asphalt is sexy but its not the argento I wanted AND NOT even A BRZ! end fail- |

I got one of these the other day for my GTI. Was offered $15k for a car that I bought new 3 years ago for $27k + TTL. Just a sales gimmick.

I was also looking for argento, but ended up with asphalt. I figured the argento would reflect a bit more of this GA heat. I have thought about doing a light silver vinyl on hood, trunk, roof.. would also want matching light sliver louvers, But the prices are too damn high, and It would probably look ricy unless it was a high quality paint fade from light on top to dark at the bottom.

If you can actually get that much from them, and you really want to trade out to a BRZ, I'd say go for it. I'm picking up a 2013 FR-S used from a dealer tomorrow. It has 4k miles and was listed for $21,995. Talked them down a little and got it out the door for $23.5k. Nearly $21k for a car with 29k miles seems pretty good. It is totally a sales gimmick though, and you will be hard pressed to actually get that much out of them on the trade in.

Only if you have fat fingers. In which case, weight reduction should be more of an issue for the individual to address. If people can type on iPhone keyboards then our screens shouldn't be an issue. |
