Has anyone here had a major powertrain issues? Minor? Engine issues and transmission issues?

I know I am possibly overreacting on some of these but reading posts of people's engine blowing up around 20k to 30k doesn't sound too comforting.

I do drive my car spiritedly sometimes but I baby it most of the time.

I am sad to be selling the car next year when I get relocated to HK so I guess I shouldnt worry but I do not know when shit will happen. I am not good that dealing with that stuff.

I just wrote this to let the community about my concern. If you had the same concerns please let me know. If you dont, let me know why.

Thanks.
I haven't had any problems with either of the frs I had/have.
Both had 20,000+ miles

Saw an ultramarine FRS at halsted and grand river about 3:30 today. Looked like it had the 5axis kit.

It also had an exhaust that sounded really nice. I think it was the TRD exhaust but I'm not sure. The tips weren't oval or circular. They were sort of a rounded triangle. Any confirmation would be appreciated.

Also just spotted a white twin parked at a house on Orchard Lake just north of Grand River. Couldn't see anything else since I noticed it just as I was passing.

Good to meet and hang out with you yesterday, Greg! Did you go home and find tires at your door?

Car did good at the track despite my feeling less-than-spectacular. Glad I took the car in stock form but I find myself...wanting. Especially in the braking department.

It was good meeting you as well and Yes they were waiting for me when I got home. I still had a good time driving the neon it was weird never tracking a fwd car before but that thing is a boat load of fun I just wish it had a tachometer. And I agree that the breaks leave a lot to be desired the stop tech upgrade kit is great for the n/a cars without having to shell out the cash for a big break kit.

Just took a long trip up north from Ann Arbor, suddenly I'm getting really bad popping in my coming from my rear deck lid. Has anyone dealt with this? I've seen the fix on the issue's forum, just curious if anyone local has done anything themselves.

Ended up going to the AROC AutoX event at Oakland University instead, but just to watch. Lots of people out there too. Ralph Gilles was out running in a Fiat 500 Abarth and an SRT Viper. The Viper had the best time of the day, and a white FRS had the next best time I believe.

Anyone interested in some Breast Cancer Rally Armor flaps? On the car for 1500 miles, all hardware and mounts, very clean.

Asking 80 shipped.

Driving meet in southern Ohio. Any of you guys planning on making it down there? Maybe we could caravan down there if we plan accordingly. That thread has the route plan and all other info.

Would be fun if I didn't already have plans and it weren't so far away. We should organize something similar around here, along with that meet everyone's been talking about.

I hear it's a nice drive through Hell:

This looks more fun and I am planning to do it before I sell my baby. Which she suffered a minor accident today. Damn road rocks and debris.
