This is where I would say "that's too much power for my needs".

That's too much power for my needs.

everyone modify their good handling cars for for more powers. its a TUner's World?

also this company is a racing/tuning company they gonna provide something reliable and proven for this year races. Also its more economical to to swap, to develop the engine right now.

The challenge will be getting more power out of the boxer without sacrificing reliability.

Eh, it's easier to get more power than great handling.

Yeah, it does say preliminary and it's nice to know there is something in develpment but i probably would have held on to those numbers till I had something a little more wowing. I would imagine something like that could net some very imressive numbers.

I know I'd be interested but I also know what those engines cost and I'd never be THAT interested. At that point I'd start comparing the cost of more powerful cars straight from their factories, w/ warranties and better re-sale value.

An old saying goes something like this... "Power. Cheap. Reliable. - Pick 2"

Hmmmm....we're still not sure if the Aisin Transmission hooks up directly to the EJ25...
The AVO guys had to build a custom Hollinger tranny for their D1 Car.

Another thing to keep in mind is having too much power for a rwd car means you need to put wider tires to prevent traction problems (staggered setup), which means the front end will lose traction first when not under power while cornering.

Giving this car more power while maintaining the cars original balance in corners is key here.

its easier to market a HP # than it is to market a set up that corners at 1.1 lateral G's, avoids tramlining, corrects bump steer, fixes other suspension issues, etc. the reality is that most people who are buying modifications don't know what any of that stuff means, or don't use it driving light to light.

once someone cracks the ECU, I imagine you will see more tuning with the factory drive train. I personally want to leave the drive train alone and make the rest of the car faster. I'm looking forward to stock reliability at the track. Maybe intake, exhaust, headers later this summer?...
