Of course, unless you hand clean them with a towel. The Perrin muffler you can't get rid of the heat stain. The Q300 doesn't have this problem because the volume of the muffler is much larger hence why it weighs more.

If that's what you care about, that's great. I don't spend time staring at the bottom parts of my car so as long as it performs it's intended function to my expectations and the build quality is there, normal heat discoloration is a non-issue. |

Different strokes for different folks then. I don't see it as a problem since it's not visible unless you get on the ground to look for it. That's one thing that I like about the Perrin is that the muffler tucks up so you can't even see it. |

Especially when you're lowered, all you're going to see is tips, so I don't have anything against Perrin at all.

Why not throw Corsa into the mix? It's like the Perrin, a slight bit louder, like the Q300; no drone, quiet at cruise and deep n throaty at WOT.
I was all for the Perrin, I liked the fit n finish better than the Q300, which sounded a little too quiet for me. Then I found the Corsa, which was quiet like the Q300 at cruise, but deep and race car like at WOT like the Perrin. It's a good combo of both, plus the quality is better than either Perrin or the Invidia.

Actually, just looked it up. I recognize Corsa from the LS1 community. Very popular and very pricey, but nice. |

With catless headers Q300. With catted Perrin. Need Q300 with catless as it's too loud with anything else. With catted headers I like Nameless Performance a little over Perrin but Perrin is my second choice when catted.

I installed the Perrin 3.0" resonated a couple weeks ago and I'm loving it. The sound is quiet during normal driving, just a little above stock but when it's under load it really opens up. I'm still using stock op/dp and header for now. I made a trip from Portland to Seattle this week and my co-worker took a few work related calls in the front seat and she said the sound wasn't an issue at all. Plus, the quality is fantastic, it was really easy to install, and Perrin backs up their products.

Actually not a bad price from FT86 speedfactory, just $100 or so more than the Perrin 2.5"

I figured that I should let everyone know which way I went! I went with the Invidia all the way to the header. I chose the Q300TI because I wanted something that was super quiet, I like exhaust noise but not obnoxious loud. I wanted something that is adult during everyday driving but has a nice grumble when I want fun, the Q300TI checked both those boxes. The install went super smooth and the quality was fantastic! I have the Q300TI, catted front pipe and overpipe (all Invidia). Sound level is PERFECT, no rasp, and no drone. I could not be happier!
Thanks for all the info guys I really appreciate it!! ![]()
